Enter Cat Four

My friend’s semi-feral cat had kittens.
Cat Three would love a little brother, and hopefully Cat One and Two would not be more annoyed than they already are by Cat Three.

DH needed a lot of persuading that Four Cats is not too many. He needed less persuading after seeing that Cat Four To Be is fat and fluffy.

my max in the past was 6 - these days I have a pampered only one who frightens me by going missing and getting into trouble frequently

He has two names: DH prefers the name my friend gave him but it’s my turn to name him and I am adamant he be called by it, so he’s Cat Four The Avenger for now.
obviously I cannot tell you his real name, in order to preserve his online anonymity.
I had to do a lot of work on DH to get him to agree. A poster in another thread said emotional manipulation has no place in a relationship but you’re not going to get a kitten without it. Also, that poster is clearly not the child of an Irish Catholic mother.
He is going great guns with Cat One, who does not like to be pounced on. One has communicated this gently but effectively and Four is restricting pouncing to Three.
Two is still upset but I am going to do proper introductions with squeezy treats. Luckily she can swap upstairs/ downstairs, or we put him in his room.
We let have free range upstairs and then couldn’t find him. He’d gone for a sleepy on my computer chair which I keep pushed in to keep cats off it.

He is delightful 🥹

His tiny face and giant forehead! And he has ear tufts! 😻😻😻

He has huge feet and a really fat tail. There’s signs that he might be a big’un.

Exciting update from the vet: Cat Four is a girl!

Cat two has a fellow female feline in the house!
She’s an absolute sweetie.
I still love Cat three most, lovely boy.

Have you had to change her name to suit?

Surely 'Cat 4' works for a boy or a girl?

Yes, we have changed her name. We had a girl’s name as well as a boy’s.
If it had been DH’s turn to name the cat, she would have been Luigina.
Four is obviously her online username.

Surely it should be Quatre.

Or Quattro.
I have decided to post on this thread instead of Excellent Cats because people are having concerns about their boys and girls and it seems very insensitive to follow that up squeeing about my kitten.
She is growing very long and her tail now has a kink in it.
She plays with Cat Three for ages every day: he adores having a playmate. He gave us some concern because he was mounting her when she became too rough, and I was having to seperate them overnight. She’s learned her place and the mounting has stopped.
She’s 1.8 kilos and due for her 3 month vax tomorrow. Hopefully we can book for her spay soon. She won’t like being isolated.
Here she is eating left over salmon off my plate, snuggling with Cat One, trying out the olive tree pot, and demonstrating her tremendous bed hair. Brushes every day for this girl.

Ah, I see I didn't read the post properly. Well, it looks as if One is tolerating Four at least.

Cat Four is so pretty! And the ear tufts are impressive!

I'd quite like a Cat Three. Cats one and two only grudgingly tolerate each other though. In fairness, Cat Two is a proper dickhead. Cat One likes a snooze and a belly pat. Cat Two is tiny and petite, and likes violence and murder. I really don't know how a Cat Three would be received.

When Two arrived I did it "by the book" shutting her in a separate room, only to find out that a mere door is no match for her. This includes the outside door. She jumps at the handle and lets herself in.
