New thread for the inmates of Toddler Towers. Strange to think, it's about two completely different cats, from the original
Thread. But Magic, Maia and Cheddar will never be forgotten.

I'm sorry to hear about Paddington but do think you made the right decision. After he left Pen started using the house again, is she still doing that with Dotty around? Who btw, has amazing owl eyes!

Dotty is lovely and I'm glad it seems to be going well with Pen. They sound much more suited than Pads, as lovely as he was. I'm sure this one will work out fine

@Pixiedust1234 yes, it was definitely the right decision. For him as well, as he now has a brother to play with, which is what he wanted. Penelope is ruling the hose with an iron paw. Even with Dotty on the loose.

Have you reported them if you have real concerns? I don't know who too, maybe the RSCPA?

First time on my knee. Penelope was sitting next to me. Lots of purring from both. They both need their nails trimming though. Ouch!

oooooo, that's exciting! Lovely to hear Pen purring even if the stranger has your lap. Early days yet but it does sound very promising 😀

Oh this is fantastic. It certainly looks like Pen is fine with a female doesn’t it? She could have even accepted Pads after a bit if he wasn’t so

Eating. Pen is growling a bit at Dotty as she's sitting on the stairs. But Dotty doesn't react at all.

Her eye ulcer has healed. But we are going to take some swabs, to see what's causing them. The vet didn't have them in stock though.

She does seem a lot more settled

Penelope took her first swipe at Dotty. Pen was in tip of the scratch steps, and Dotty was stretching up to the top to scratch. So pen took a swipe. Dotty looked a bit sad but no other reaction.

Cat Two does that to Cat Three, she’s establishing who’s boss. There’s no claws, it’s just a swipe and a tap.

I've left them unsupervised while at work today. But I think it will be fine. Penelope is very much in charge. She jumpers onto to best spot on the scratch post, while Dots was scratching. Her message was very clear! Pen took another swipe when Dotty was stretching, but I think she thought she was going to pounce on her. So that's understandable.

I do feel for the new cat. It's not all about Penelope being on top just because she had a difficult time with Paddington. It's a shame for Dotty. They must both be quite stressed out.

Dirty is very chilled and very happy with life. She's never had a house or a human of her own before. She's such a lovely affectionate little thing

She follows me round the house chatting to me. It's adorable.

Penelope is also fine. She's her normal self

She's hissing and swiping which are signs of not being happy and being stressed. She's obviously nervous if you think one of the swipes was because she thought the new cat was going to pounce on her. Hopefully it improves, it sounds like they have both had an enormous amount of change recently and poor lives before that.

This hissing is normal behaviour with a new cat. And she's 100% better than with Paddington.
