Physio is really pleased with progress and has added in more exercises - figures of eight through chicanes and stand to sit to beg! A second up down up exercise minus the wobble cushion I am going to be exhausted - you can in fairness see his progress when watching films of him 2 weeks apart
Today we went for second try at hydrotherapy he wouldn’t walk about much but did try the treadmill - having less water helped and he didn’t yowl or try and escape this week - I’ve booked another block of 4 so will be interesting
He is always exhausted after sessions so must be doing something!

What a gorgeous boy! Hope he gets back to full mobility soon (is that going to be possible?🤞)

We are really hopeful that he will fully recover - the size of the bone callus is reducing slowly - his movement is improving - thankfully apart from the hydro he loves the exercises
Hydro week 3 tomorrow so will update then

Thank you @Iamacatslave @LostCats @Pigglyplaystruant99 @Pudmyboy @Toddlerteaplease he doesn’t look at all handsome when he’s wet and miserable about it!
Finlay had session number 3 today with help from DD he still doesn’t understand the treadmill but with lots of encouragement he walked up and down the tank more than at previous sessions so we are going to carry on with it

Physiotherapist visited today and is pleased with progress - added in a few new exercises including going up and down steps so suggested we save a few sturdy cardboard boxes - Finlay likes a box!

Is the fur on his muzzle/nose really paler than his body or is it a trick of the camera?

Thank you everyone - you are all so lovely!!!!
@Pudmyboy yes his nose and muzzle area are slightly paler - as shown in cardboard box picture - you know how to flatter - I do love a grey cat though
welcome @OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon it’s been an interesting few months to say the least but am so pleased with progress - I was very worried when it happened and thought he would have to be PTS or never fully recover

I have been through the same thing twice, many years ago.

We bought a large rabbit hutch as I didn't know about dog crates then.
and neither physio nor hydro were suggested/offered in these days.

Week 4 hydrotherapy didn’t really take off - I was hopeful that each week it would improve but Finlay was in surly toddler mode today and was fairly uncooperative until getting dried and licking himself dry
