Starters, main and dessert - poor Phoebes is on anallergenic food and (scandal) not allowed to eat anything else!

It's probably her second favourite bone china (well, china, at least). Her other one has a gold edge.

We've had to give up using plates like that because even eating a tiny amount meant visible BARE PLATE and no poor kitty needs to see that. So we can only use small, shallow bowls because apparently having a bowl not filled to the brim is also against the Geneva Convention.

When they can see the bottom of the bowl despite food being around the sides that means there is no food in the bowl. Just cover up the "bald spot" and all will be well.

@Stresa22 they don’t have treats - come to that I don’t know of Dreamies are sold in Oz, I’ve never seen them.

@DisingenuousBatshittery @TroysMammy someone on another forum dubbed that “side food”. Side food is completely unacceptable, it’s not proper food at all. Maybe Phoebes has taken that idea to the next level.

And of course moving the current food isn’t good enough. It has to be more food out of the bag!

Our Male Cat whinged at me that Dad Has Fed Me In THE WRONG BOWL until I wised up and put his supper in a more suitable vessel.
<Disclaimer> our cats were born in a garden till they were rescued . They probably ate whatever their Mum could scavange until someone kind took them on board and they got rescued .
He was perfectly capable of picking up food with his paw (as he sometimes does that that cat from the Arthurs Advert )

@70isaLimitNotaTarget don't you love the way their standards skyrocket when they have a home? Phoebe was a street rescue according to the shelter.

Fortunately her plates are just saucers, flat enough so she's not likely to get whisker fatigue.

My DD says if a cat turns its back on you it shows they trust you . I'm not sure . They can still hear you , sense you and knowing cats I bet they can see 360 degrees . And not only can they run, they can also pass gas in your direction. ....

Our guinea pigs had lovely long whiskers but less fussy than the cats . They either sat in the food bowl or tipped them up depending on the weight .

Cats are meant to have superior vision and smell to their slaves humans...and yet ours have problems locating their food (multiple times a day)

I don't think we can report, Rescue Cats have a "Code of Conduct" that means they stay solely because they are protecting other cats .
My 2 say they're "taking one for the team" and putting up with our house and garden, Dreamies , and two meals a day because they've known rough living and can cope .
Whereas if I went off and got a couple of kittens they'd never thrive with my shoddy care and the cats would feel bad for putting them in that situation.

Tomorrow they will accept some roast chicken just so I feel grateful that they're able to eat something .And its just so that DS gets less
