Ohh , I wouldn;t count on being forgiven those are two grumpy looking cat rumps there Wink. Those are Plotting Poses if ever I saw them .
My DD says if a cat turns its back on you it shows they trust you . I'm not sure . They can still hear you , sense you and knowing cats I bet they can see 360 degrees . And not only can they run, they can also pass gas in your direction. ....

Our guinea pigs had lovely long whiskers but less fussy than the cats . They either sat in the food bowl or tipped them up depending on the weight .

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've had some champion farters ... Mamie (RIP) used to squirt. I suspect now it was anal glands in her case. Only did it when she was happy. Purrs, drools and blarts so bad I'd have to wash my clothes and hair. Daisy does the occasional fart but she's not in Mamie's league, thank goodness!

We get accused of serving THE WRONG FOOD according to Toasty Boy Cat and Toasty Girl Cat. They give us the evils or get a kitty takeaway (usually a rodent).
It's the same fecking food that they were eating yesterday!

Cats are meant to have superior vision and smell to their slaves humans...and yet ours have problems locating their food (multiple times a day)

😆😆😆😆

Can I suggest a light dressing of pure wild salmon oil for Her Royal Hungriness?

It's the only way Old Fluffyknickers will deign to acknowledge there's still 89% of her stupidly expensive food in her bowl.

I would if Madame was allowed to eat anything but her prescription food! (Also stupidly expensive ... Royal Canin, 'nuff said.)

Instead of posting replies shouldn't someone be actually reporting these cruel and neglectful owners to the authorities?!
Obviously I'm joking... I am frequently a cruel and neglectful owner (butler) myself, as I sometimes forget the second breakfast.

Truth! We are ALL neglecting them shamefully. Someone Should Do Something About It!

We had a huge crisis here earlier on. I'd ordered more dried food, but Amazon kindly informed me that they were not going to deliver today as promised. This left me in a awkward situation as I was relying on the delivery, so hence I rushed to the local shop for supplies as my prince couldn't possibly manage with just sachets.....
Cat tax paid. You can all see how terribly thin and neglected he is - and if you heard him when coming into the house you'd believe he was being forcibly kept out (FYI he's a stray that DC1 took in, in a terrible condition, un-neutered and very beaten up from fighting). I'm very clearly an irresponsible owner....

@Isometimeswonder

I don't think we can report, Rescue Cats have a "Code of Conduct" that means they stay solely because they are protecting other cats .
My 2 say they're "taking one for the team" and putting up with our house and garden, Dreamies , and two meals a day because they've known rough living and can cope .
Whereas if I went off and got a couple of kittens they'd never thrive with my shoddy care and the cats would feel bad for putting them in that situation.

Tomorrow they will accept some roast chicken just so I feel grateful that they're able to eat something .And its just so that DS gets less Grin

My boy suggests you question your Vet closely .

Our Vet says MaleCat is "heavy" , MaleCat hears "lovely" as Vet is forrin so obviously getting those two words mixed up.

And Vet may have spent 5-6 years studying but MaleCat has spent 5 years Being A Cat so reckons he holds the qualification aces . Though he cannot hold a pen.

We just took delivery of 7kg of Crave cat biscuits .
Do I win a prize of some sort?

Probably, my usual shipment of Royal Canin Anallergenic kibble is a 4kg bag!

We all know black cats don't photo well. so he CBA unravelling himself .

He'd like it known he isn't porky , his identical siser is curled up next to him so it's two cats, with no visible joins .

Except it isn't Grin

If cats had opposable thumbs, then we’d really be in trouble.

Apparently Ginger Cats have One Brain Cell Between Them All but did you know Black Cats have Brains The Size Of A Planet ? Each !

It's like the order goes
Einstein
Sir Dr Brian May Out of Queen
Black Cats
Mensa Geniuses

@770isaLimitNotaTarget did you miss basic feline anatomy at school?
Cats have a small pocket between their front legs. They keep a small mirror there so they can look in it to keep an eye on you while their back is turned.
Everyone knows that.

Ahhh MaleCat keeps his between his back legs , I thought he was just washing his meat'n;2 veg and feigning surprise when he sees there's bits missing . But that's him checking his mirror and putting it back .

Judging by one of mine, I have a suspicion that being part tortoiseshell and part black cancels the brain cells out entirely.

Catsmere · 05/11/2023 08:26

Grey tabby girls are top of the brain scale for me - both mine were ultra smart and ran rings around the tuxies we had at the same time!
