Do your cats demand to picked up and cuddled?

Out of all the cats I've ever known, Cheddar is the only cat who demands to be picked up and cuddled. Other cats would allow it but not demand it. I'm not entirely sure she's a real cat though.

My two request to sit on our laps and be petted but more often they just demand to be fed.

My girl would give me a warning meow for me to catch her before leaping up onto my chest. If I didn't catch her she would hang on with claws so very grateful for the warning.
I miss her so much every single day

My rescue immediately dies when I pick him up. He goes rigid then limp and is clearly longing for death. Then he shouts abuse at me when I put him down.

Cat 2 was advertised as a Ragdoll - so I chose her specifically for cuddling purposes. I read her the description in the sale of goods, namely that she is a cuddly, baby-like creature who loves nothing more than being carried around - and she told me to fuck off.

So while both love a lap and a belly rub, I'm still deprived of cat hugging :(

Cheddar has now started sleeping with her head on my pillow and me holding her paw. It's adorable. We used to have a car that would do that years ago. Cheddar is so like her.

Only my sphynxes were ever like that. But we all hated bath time so now I have hairy grumpy ones who look pretty. 😁

Tummy rubs??? And you aren’t met with the mousetrap claws? If I go anywhere near his scrumptious belly floof he clamps shut like a Venus fly trap.

Err no, definitely not.
If I dare to approach him or speak to him, his tail starts waving then lashing.
We call it "beware of the waffy tail"
Eyes widen and his body language tells me not to carry on.Funny thing is though every morning he demands we sit on the top step for 10 minutes, and I can do anything to him, touch him all over including his belly and paws.I can only think he probably has good memories in a former life before we rescued him.I still don't trust him an inch though !!
Sad really though because my other 5 cats over the last 43 years have been total lovies.This one has been a shock !

Kitten wants to be cuddled at the precise same time everyday - after breakfast, before I get up for work she climbs onto my chest in bed and demands strokes and cuddles. Then she's not interested in me for the rest of the day.
The older cat (13) is like velcro and if I'm sitting I'm petting her. If I stop I get her paw patting me to continue.

Yes. I have two cuddly Ragdolls. Girl Ragdoll taps me on the leg to tell me she wants to be picked up. She will cuddle in under my chin when she’s on my lap. Boy Ragdoll will cuddle up next to me under my arm or lie with his head on my lap gazing adoringly at me. 😳😁 They are the sweetest cats.

Mine likes to do an impression of a limpet, yes to carrying her like a baby, also to her jumping up, not as much as she is getting older.

When she had not been with me too long I was cooking, she jumped up to my waist, climbed my back and supervised me chopping veg.

Cat Two demands cuddles. Cat Three doesn’t like being picked up but insists on sitting on DH’s lap. He loves a belly rub and will hurl himself down in front of you and roll over. Cat One prefers head scritches. He head bumps you and paws at your hand to indicate the scritching should commence. He doesn’t mind being held like a baby: Cat Two likes resting her head on your shoulder.

Boy kitten absolutely insists on cuddling. He will find his way on to my shoulder (where he no longer actually fits) purring like a motorbike and nudge me with his nose and pat my cheek with his paw til I cradle him in my arms like a baby. He will also come running if you ask if he fancies a cuddle.
Girl kitten does things on her own terms. Less cuddles, but if she purrs by my feet and isn’t instantly picked up she’ll climb up my leg to get the attention she deserves!

Four of mine demand snuggles by just walking up and plonking themselves down on me. Cannelloni doesn't do it very often (maybe once a week), the others do it all the time. The ladyship (aka Tortellini) has only just started accepting being picked up and sitting on lap (yesterday) and has now also started emitting tiny purrs when petted.

One of ours will attempt to climb up your legs and into your arms if you don’t pick her up on demand. The other will climb furniture and the whack you with her paw for chin rubs (but is usually less keen on being carried around like a baby).

Our Ragdoll does all the time. Also jumps up to be cuddled. Never had a cat like this.

My cornish rex adores cuddles. He loves snuggling I'm your lap or lying right next to you in bed. The closer to you he is , the better. My moggy cat bites then if you rub her more than twice 😂

Mine demand to sit on me and be petted. They're not big fans of being picked up and cuddled, but one will jump onto any available lap for pets (including when I'm at the loo 😬) and the other will jump onto me when I'm sitting or lying down and head-butt me until I snuggle her as required.

Mine loves belly rubs, and being on a hoomin. Ideally being on a hoomin and getting belly rubs.

How can anyone resist this fllfy belleh.

Ha no ..Female Cat suggests I book myself a cab to Broomfields Hospital if I dare to touch her .. MaleCat looks at me like I’m being very inappropriate if I think about touching him .
if he,s curled up and I ask nicely I can touch his paws ..only his paws. He adores DD and does the whole head rub arching his body along her .

I chose these blinking animals 🤪
