Sold to us as female.... however I'm pretty sure it's a boy... I've googled and seen the images to try an determine. I'm pretty sure there's 2,little balls there. It doesn't matter but might warrant a name change!! How can I be sure please?

Can you post a picture of the bum area and we can see if we agree?

My 2 cats were sold to us as girls and are both boys. Had to change their names too. It was the vet that told us they were boys

My db has a boy cat, 4 months old. He’s definitely a boy as his plums nearly had my eyes out. However, I’ve had a bit cat and when they neutered him one of his balls was stuck inside.
Could we have a look at his face? My db cat has a ‘boy’ face that’s very obvious.

Oh! Haha OK. Just made me think because vet said neuter not spay and I didn't think much about it. But thought I could a pair of tiny balls.... but maybe not! 🤣

How gorgeous. He/ she looks a bit boyish in the face to me but I may be being swayed by the hint of ginger.

Agree that you can often tell from the face. I would say definitely a girl! And a very beautiful girl cat too!!

So going by comments we are still 50/50 🤣

She's/hes so quiet. Shes/hes a Scottish fold. Only let's out one meow when hungry. Flops down to nap basically anywhere. Quite lazy. Only plays when you initiate it. Bit apparently that's normal for a Scottish fold (straight)

Its face is quite rounded and I’d say it’s a girl. My db kitten can have its belly rubbed and you can see it’s plums so quite obvious. Maybe you need to get kitty at a better angle to have a good look.

Where the uretha is its very fluffy and I did have a cop and I think it feels like 2 small balls. But I've never had a cat before so I don't really know what I'm talking about 🤣

Too difficult with these photos sorry but the vet can tell you.

If it helps both male and female kittens have something that looks a lot like balls. You want to focus on the shape of the actual penis/vulva. If it’s a line shape, it’s a girl. If it’s a round shape, it’s a boy.

As a PP said you can tell it's male because of the gap between the bum and the urethra.

Well I’m invested now.

As for getting them neutered, my girl is 5 months but they won’t do her as she’s too small at 1.9 kilos.
