Glad the vet is not overly worried! Yes. Plain food can help settle digestive systems.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 07/07/2023 20:39

She's gorgeous 😍 My cat is on Royal Canin Gastrointestinal food, as she started to have digestive problems when I first got her. The vet recommended it.

My cat is rubbish at catting. She has no interest in cardboard boxes, and feathers terrify her 🙄

Thankyou @BatshitCrazyWoman
can you buy that at pets at home?
she's the same with the bell ball, as soon as i get it out she scarpers and hides 🙈 haha

@popgoesperfection it's one of Royal Canin's veterinary foods - I buy it from a place called Pet Drugs Online. It's not cheap but she likes it and it sorted out her problem. Royal Canin also do a non-vetinerary one called 'sensitive' which you can buy in pet shops and probably Pets At Home. I've give that to Mabel too and it didn't upset her stomach.

Mabel? The beautiful Oriental? I've been wondering how she is.

great thankyou @BatshitCrazyWoman. I'll have a trip to pets at home today, theyll be able to give advice too won't they?

My Mabel is a dainty black and white moggy 😁

Florissante · 08/07/2023 15:26

Oh, okay! I am sure your Mabel is beautiful, too.

Williehollobooby · 08/07/2023 16:00

What a beautiful cat. I seem to remember mine, when it was a kitten, having diarrhea when the weather was really hot. Could be just that. Leave lots of fresh water about.
As for toys, mine never liked any. Not cat nip either. Just tin foil rolled up into little balls, and yes, a cardboard box 😀

Florissante · 08/07/2023 16:30

I found the beautiful Oriental in another thread - her name is Wanda, not Mabel. Mystery solved.

Please has anyone got some advice 🙏🏻 I have noticed today that Pixie is limping on her back leg, i've had a gentle feel down her leg, hip and paws and she isn't pulling away or trying to scratch or bite me, but she's been rather quiet today and hasn't played much. I've rang the vets for advice, they want me to bring her in, problem is i can't until friday 😞 I'm worried about her and feeling stressed about the situation. what can i do at home to help her? please no bashing, i'm sick with worry.

Sorry, no advice as I've never had a cat with that problem.

Perhaps someone else can advise?

Glittertwins · 11/07/2023 19:47

My cat has done the limp and woe is me for attention before now. Boss took their cat to the vet and got stung with a bill for a similar act of feline maliciousness! Keep an eye on her though - has she been leaping around a lot before band maybe landed awkwardly?

popgoesperfection · 11/07/2023 19:52

yeah she's normally bouncing around all over, up on the window ledge then under the curtains around the sofa, up on the chair arm. she's very energetic! i did wonder if she's just landed funny or pulled a nail or something while she's been pouncing around.
