I miss my cat so much

Around last Easter time my OH rehomed my lovely girl while I was away from home and I can't get over her 😔 I miss her so much! She is the most perfect cat you could ever have and we were so lucky to have her. She is playful and funny but also gentle and loving..never got her claws out once and is just a fluffy, floppy purring sweetheart!! I lay awake at night thinking about her and whether she'd still remember me and I can't stop this feeling of grief like I have a knot in the pit of my stomach. I know my son has this same heartbreak as she was his little best friend, and he still talks about her on a regular basis.

I don't know what I'm writing this all down here for but I just need to get it out, I feel like crying every time I think of her and I don't have anywhere else to express my feelings. I miss her so much ☹️

If he believed you to be a horrible, untrustworthy baddie he could always leave.

If you do go on the relationships board try and filter out the unhelpful posters.

IconicKitty · 17/01/2023 17:56

I think you should call the police. This is abuse / corrosive control and illegal.

Finallydo · 22/01/2023 19:14

Our princess,Tilly went over the 🌈 today. We are devastated 😭😭😭. She had her checkup at the vets just after Xmas, no issues but she did have a fast beating heart. She was 14, passed away in our garden. My hubby heard her meow a couple of times, went out into the garden and found her on the lawn. She was a free spirit, loved being outside, did not like being held but was your best fried when she wanted treats.

I just need to write this down. Thank you

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 22/01/2023 21:40

I’m sorry, Your just never ready.

Goodread1 · 22/01/2023 21:54

What a controlling Arsehole of a Partner you have got Op.!!!

How dare he do that without asking your permission 😤 Consirdering you were the main Carer of your beloved 🐈

I would seriously Consider Kicking him out for good,

Is he usually as much of a control freak as this then Op?

There are much better men out there than your Prick of a Partner Op

I really don't like the sound of this one ,

Massive red flag waving about he is walking talking and manifestion of Mr know it all (I know than you know yourself .

Goodread1 · 22/01/2023 21:56

I ment to say Mr I know you better than yourself know it all...

TangledWebOfDeception · 22/01/2023 21:59

Horrible, nasty man. That is truly unforgivable.

He isn't a good man @SadandCatless. He got rid of your lovely girl because he knew how much you loved her and the comfort she gave you.

I'm very sorry that you miss your cat so much. Flowers

BannisterCannister · 22/01/2023 22:08

I won't even put down on here what I would want to do to this cunt because I'll probably get arrested.

OP I've had two cats in the past, both of whom had my whole heart and I utterly worshipped. If either of them had been taken away from me I'd be ripping up the fucking tarmac until they were found. I would literally be doing nothing else. Do not let this go, get your girl back where she belongs and boot that nasty fucker to kingdom come.

NEVER has a thread on here made me so angry.

Goodread1 · 22/01/2023 22:21

Hi Op

All you have to do is explain to your vet your circumstances and how your Arsehole Prick of a so called Partner , lied by. By not telling the full truth of your circumstances, such as it was temporary situation. Looking after your Father, he didn't have your verbal/or written consent permission to give your cat away,
Was your 🐈 tagged so vet can check up her location too?
the vet will have paperwork they can find out where she is,

You can even hire a private detective to find out where she is too,

Please ditch this shit head.!
Rember it's a new year ,
Out with old ,,
Such as waste of total space Loser you are currently with....

Hallmark1234 · 22/01/2023 22:23

NEVER has a thread on here made me so angry.

I feel the same @BannisterCannister!

In fact I'm even wondering whether he really did rehome her! 😡

Thesonglastslonger · 22/01/2023 22:25

I’m so sorry he stole your cat. What an evil, evil thing for him to do.

He wasn’t depressed, and he wasn’t ‘unable to cope’ - if that was the situation he could have put the cat into a cattery until you got back, or messaged you to discuss options. This was an evil act of abuse, designed to take away your emotional support and leave you isolated and dependent on him. This is also why he’s removed your ability to drive. He wants you helpless, alone and dependent on him.

Please speak to Women’s Aid and make a plan for leaving him. It would be very harmful for your son to be brought up by such a man.

I’m so sorry about your lovely cat. Remember you could speak to the vet to check that your partner really did rehome through the vet.

Deathbyfluffy · 22/01/2023 22:27

This was absolutely horrific to read - I can’t imagine how tough this is.
You need to get out, cats are part of the family and what he’s done is beyond horrendous

Goodread1 · 22/01/2023 22:33

I wondering the same too,

Did he really rehome her or did he abandoned her as he is such a controlling. Nasty Arsehole?

It's Surprising very common method of the Domestic abuser tool 🔧 of armoury to use family pets as emotional weapons 😢

Purely because they are emotional vindictive insecure and Needy in extreme and can't handle their woman in their lives showing affection to something else other than themselves as they are usually extremely dysfunctional screwed a. Man child....

Squamata · 22/01/2023 22:37

You know he's not a good man op. He can't be lovely with your son while he you like this, his behaviour makes you understandably distressed and that will impact on your son.

You don't need to persuade him that you're right and he's willing. Of course he twists things and makes you feel crazy, keeping you in a state of confusion is what lets him control you.

Giving your cat away was such a mean, cruel act that you saw clearly for a time. He is not a good man, it's not you, it's him.

Please do get in touch with women's aid. You and your son deserve better than this.

That must have been such a shock. She went where she was happiest, outside. It's so hard losing them 💐

Goodread1 · 22/01/2023 23:04

If he was really struggling a bit /somewhat?which we all know is whooping massive lie,

I smell Bullshit a mile away on this cock and bull story...

As Cats 🐈 are incredibly easy creatures to look after,

Why on earth 🌎 wouldn't it have occurred to ask for some /bit temporarily support to look after your cat such as trusted friend or relative or even placing your cat temporarily in a cattery or even with your permission a Foster temporarily 🐈 cat woman who is mad about cats in a good way then,!

It's classic Domestic domestic abuse this is
Ask womens Aid charity they are all to very familiar with this kind of set up situation,

Its usually the case,
Sorry to say Domestic abuser can. and do sometimes to threaten to harm a much cherished family pet.

I think this is a form of kidnapping. A. cherished pet from. You

VitoCorleoneOfMNMafia · 31/05/2023 01:20

Late to this party but...

Leave your OH. Abducting your cat, removing you from the car insurance, this is all abuse.

Leave him.

Astrak · 31/05/2023 04:33

Make plans to leave this woeful, controlling man. How dare he rehome your cat? How dare he prevent you from using the family car?
Please do speak to Women's Aid.
