Does your cat like eating cucumber?

So I'm becoming a regular in here, and have totally developed pfb crazy cat lady vibes...!

When making food, ill sometimes offer my kittens a tiny bit of whatever they are trying to get to, to prove to them that they don't want it 😂 (so a bit of carrot that the sniff and walk away from etc)

Did this With cucumber today and boy kitten was totally uninterested and decided it was not food. However, surprisingly, girl kitten decided it was the best thing ever, went crazier for it than she does for dreamies, and devoured the slice almost instantly, and then came to steal the slice that boy kitten was uninterested in!

Looked it up and apparently its a thing, and that in little bits its actually quite good for them due to the water content??

Does anyone else have a weird kitty that loves cucumber??

One of mine does, but she'll eat anything her favourite food is egg mayonnaise!

My dcat eats vegetables but not sure he has tried cucumber tbh..

I have yet to find a food mine doesn't like. Watery type foods do seem to be favourites though, as well as cucumber we cannot leave sliced melon unattended.

Nope, but I knew a cat that went full on claws out agressive for lettuce.😂

Bernard can’t be left alone with broccoli…

One of mine will eat anything ..potatoes, brocoli, plain pasta.
The other, only premium cat food, the cheaper brands don't even get a sniff!

Mine would go MENTAL for asparagus, and was partial to a broccoli floret or two…

Kittens will try lots of things, mine used to steal the kids chocolate wheetos. She’s 16 now and still likes to try what’s on my plate if she can get away with it.

I saw a cat on IG doing anything he could to get some cucumber, he absolutely loves it. I tried mine with a piece and got slapped for my efforts 😂

Ours likes cucumber. He won't eat a circle bit a half circle is acceptable. It takes him ages but quite enjoys it, batting it about chewing it, leaving it on the floor then actually eats it. Tried him with broccoli bit looked as if we were trying to poison him. He will chew on melon skin which I find odd.

Mine doesn’t but does love avocado and blueberries. I offer her some cucumber but she just sniffs and walks away.

I've never tried mine with cucumber but the chihuahau loves it. One of my cats loves bread. You know when the supermarket deliver your shopping and you haul it all into the hall then carry it through bag by bag? We cannot do that because by the time you've come back for the second round of bags Salem will have burrowed through half a loaf of white bread, eaten all of the frozen breaded chicken and be ripping into anything else she can spy that might, possibly be bread or breaded. Someone has to guard the bags while someone else transports them bit by bit to the kitchen.

No. I used to have a cat that went mad for pomegranate! Lived to the glorious age of 19 and still missed every day. My present cats don't have any odd preferences.
