I've decided to keep him. What can I say...

Took my little to the rescue cattery today, but I just couldn't leave him there. Well, I did leave him, but went back 5 minutes later, blubbering. He's well & truly "done a number on me".Grin So, I now have 3 of my own & the 2 sisters I'm still trying to find a home forConfused.

Now have to get him chipped, insured and decide on his name. Can't keep calling him "Little One". 😻

I read that as "Satan", at first Grin. His fur is so satin-like.

DS just looked over my shoulder and said 'oooh it's Kaspar' (from the Michael Morpurgo book of the same name).

@Want2beme he is from Kalithea Cats. Amazing group of people there who do so much for their cats.

He’s such a good boy. We extended stay and flew to Amsterdam and got the ferry to Newcastle to get him home. Worth it.

He's got an unusual shaped face - sweetheart? His fur is so silky.

Aww, bless him. I'm actually a dog person, but he really is adorable. I wouldn't have been able to give him up either.

Sadly, I can't offer much on the name front. My only experience with a jet black cat was the vicious little bstrd who dominated the corner of the cul-de-sac I live in. He was clearly Satan's representative on Earth and went out of his infernal way to torment other cats, dogs and small children (his owner, a very nice lady, thought he was a perfect angel). His name was Peaches.

Now, I'm not saying that it in any way excuses his frequent acts of diabolic mayhem, but if I was a jet black entire alpha-male who had to bear the daily mortification of being called Peaches, I'd be fairly angry at the world too.

I hope the dear little fellow has a very long and happy life with you. x

DazedandConcerned that's wonderful. What a beautiful photo. The rescues in Greece work so hard, wiith such love & dedication. He's settling in very well.

SilverPeacock when I went back to the rescue for him, they were delighted, as they said black cats are still so difficult to re-home. This really puzzles me. I always think it'll be the opposite, as they're so beautiful.

I love black cats. He looks like a Crow to me. Or a Raven.
Or Varjak, like in the book Varjak Paw. Now he was a great cat!
