Help! I'm trapped under a cat

The other night I was very late going to bed because this lovely boy made himself comfortable.

This is my favourite thread ever! Mr t is not just taking it easy he is making it clear that he's the BOSS and you are going nowhere!

I'm currently exhausted and need to be off mumsnet and up early - but this happened and now I'm reasoning that I can cope on 8hours sleep .......7 and 1/2 hours........ 7hours ...... If she wakes up now I could get 6 hrs 45......... if she wakes up now I could get 6 hrs 15........ can I sleep here? I can sleep here......... if I fall asleep now I can get 6 hours sleep.........

My cat is actually made of velcro.

My cat will not sit on me, or anyone else. She will come and sit next to us but nothing more and I am sad and a little bit jealous of you all. So get up and get your jobs done!

Awwwwww I love this thread! I'm jealous too of you all as my beautiful Beatrix ( a rescue cat) won't sit on my lap. She will sit near me and on the bed not on my lap. Love her to bits ❤️

Those of you with rescue cats who will sit near but not on you - that’s still wonderful progress & you will probably find that sitting on will follow given a bit more time.

My Mr Fluffy was the same, would snuggle up to my ankle while sitting on the sofa but no further for ages.

The introduction of a huge fluffy cushion that goes on my lap ready for kitty snuggles helped persuade him to get closer in the end.

Which has the added advantage of being easily moved w/out disturbing its sleeping occupant when the human needs a bathroom/tea break etc :)

DH, Mr IDon'tWantACatIDon'tLikeCats IWon'tHaveAnythingToDoWithIt, is worse than me for getting trapped under dcat. For one thing, he is a complete soppy-socks who has fallen utterly in love with dcat, for another dbastardcat prefers his lap. When dh sits down in the living room dbloodycat gets up and walks off my lap straight onto dh's!
