When guests go too far....

So I am more than happy that my Bobby (dark cat) has a friend (grey cat).
Grey is welcome any time. We let Bobby out to play with her.
We fill up the bucket so she can have a drink.
I've even seen her poke her head into the kitchen.
But....when she decided to poo in my plant pots it was too much!!!! And right in front of my little Bobby and Silky....

Tell me any tales you have when your guests went too far....

(I did wonder if he thought it was the outside litter tray!)

It could be worse. My cat decided that he liked living with his new hosts better than he liked living with me. Luckily, his new hosts thought him charming and were happy to add one more to their clowder.

Theunamedcat · 23/09/2021 21:26

Honestly I just didn't see him he was a white cat sat infront of a white kettle he must have watched me checking the while house for him before locking the door for the night (my cats were kept in overnight he was allowed to roam but always wanted in my house)

He was also busted farting on my duvet he hid on it when I was cleaning I put the wash on began cleaning and suddenly a smell developed I realised my duvet was farting and had eyes 👀 😅 he was always looking for a cosy spot to nap in

We have black cats.

One night, an extra one got into our house through the bathroom window and helped himself to our cats' food from their bowls in the kitchen.

DH saw this cat, fussed it and gave it a treat.

About two hours later he realised it wasn't one of our cats Grin

Oh no. I would be so devastated if that happened. I would take the rejection personally!!

Farting cat duvet is hilarious!! He obviously feels at home at your house.

That's so funny. I can relate. We have a cat which looks similar to ours pass through the garden. Sometimes we have to check if our cats home to know if it's Silky or Big Ginger. (Big gingers coat has got much lighter this summer which has made it worse.)

Living in a first floor flat share, we had two cats who were puddings.

Absolutely useless at defending themselves, their turf or anything.

A white, blue eyed, neighbourhood cat was always clattering through the cat flap and stealing their food.

We realised it was deaf when we couldn't shout at it, but had to stamp on the floor to make it vibrate. Then it would do an obvious whip round of it's head and scarper.

Clearly, this didn't make us too popular with the downstairs neighbour.

It got bolder too. It eventually found it's way into a flatmate's bedroom and only started climbing the walls to get out when my flatmate woke up and the cat snuggled up to him wasn't tabby or black.

We got magnetic collars and catflap soon afterwards.

Surprised the quintessential 'unwelcome guest' (TC) has not a mention on this thread yet!

Mumdiva99 · 24/09/2021 13:42

@gingernaut didn't you feel guilty denying him/her a warm bed for the night?

Gingernaut · 24/09/2021 13:52

I'm allergic to cats so all cats were barred from my bedroom.

This very glamourous white cat was always in good health, had a well brushed coat, a collar and a good home with a cat flap ours were too scared to approach.

He/She was a CF.

Beamur · 24/09/2021 13:59

My NDN cat likes to poo or wee in pot plants too. Being an obliging host I have left one pot unplanted (this also keeps my hands free of cat doings)
I also have a pot of Dreamies by the front door for guests.
The cat flap is microchip controlled though so that they don't overstep their welcome!

AlfonsoTheMango · 24/09/2021 14:11

@Mumdiva99 - His new cat slaves send me photos of him living his best life with his kitty brothers. I miss him but I know that he's happy and keeping an eye on the local squirrel population.

Mumdiva99 · 24/09/2021 15:41

@gingernaut your catsuit come first.

@beamur you are too obliging.

@AlfonsoTheMango that's sweet to hear.

My neighbour’s cat glides past my snoozing girl, hoovers up her leftover dinner and sneaks back out. I act like I don’t see him.

Mumdiva99 · 24/09/2021 15:56

No @SalsaLove that isn't left over.....it's saved for later. I hope you provide extra!!

Actually I do! I’m a pushover 😻
NotMyCat · 24/09/2021 16:02

Not my cat investigates everything, tries to steal food, climbs on the kitchen cupboards and sneaks up behind me or bangs on the window to make me jump

NotMyCat · 24/09/2021 16:03

This was when I went "oh FFS"
He came to investigate what I was doing in the bath and stood like this for ages

@Mumdiva99 the cream one could be my cat ! Bsh?

CrystalMaisie · 24/09/2021 17:20

I had a visitor a few weeks ago. He jumped in through a window, ate my cat’s wet food, then picked it all back up again. Apparently he only has dry food at home.

My daughter wants to know do you have an actual cat? Do you know which neighbour notmycat belongs too? He's gorgeous by the way.

Moggie?? Lol. I don't know. We got them from a friend. Her cat got out during lockdown when it should have been spayed but couldn't be.....and came back PG. My cats are sisters (from another mister perhaps....).
