Amazon suggested I may wish to purchase one of these for my cats and I have many questions

Firstly, how exactly do I get my cat to sit still in order to have it applied (I’m not sure ‘petting them to calm them’ will work if they see me coming towards them with a bag to put over their heads )

Secondly, it is mesh, yes? And cats have claws? And teeth? That they don’t mind using generally? So how long is the mesh going to last against a thrashing, biting, angry cat? I’m thinking probably not long

Also, who washes their cat regularly enough to need a special device for it?

Has anyone actually ever seen one in action? I’m not sure my hands would survive trying it out here, and I like having hands

I have three Siamese cats and they are well known for their intelligence and their naughtiness, and all three let me bath them; admittedly they are not keen and I do not do this often. We only bath them when they start to smell like ferrets or have been sitting under a car and got oil stains on their back. but I could not imagine any of them allowing themselves to be placed into a bag ha ha !

Anordinarymum We have meezers too and they are the dirtiest little imps! They get food all over each other. But the dirtiest one is huge and a total badass so we wouldn’t bath him, unless we were tired of having limbs attached! We leave cleaning him up to our little Siamese girl (who is half his size but he does what she tells him

I've been trying to clip our new kittens' claws regularly and there's no way I'd even get them into that, never mind manage to learn if it actually works. If you have a cat that you can persuade into a bag, then you don't need it.

I don't think there are even any cats in the bag in the ad. They look like computer images where the mesh was drawn on. Or bits of the cat was added onto the mesh.

I always love reading the descriptions on these things - the last picture on that one has captions "pull out ear", which looks like they've pulled its eye out too, and there's also "barbering" which has the most furious cat I've ever seen.

I feel simultaneously really sorry for that cat and worried for the person doing the "barbering", as they're just about to discover that cats have got teeth too!

The only time I ever bathed a cat was when a long haired one had explosive poo and needed help to deal with it. I can’t see how stuffing her into a bag would have done anything but spread the poo .

Our first cat needed to be cleaned cos he'd spent the night under a leaky car. Firstly there was no way on Gods green earth that he would have been seen in any of these things - are you kidding me??? We had to press him down in the bath, shampoo him, spray him off all before letting go - when he really did take off vertically and bounce off the walls. He was one mean moggy and I don't think silicon boots would have helped at all.

That cat looks proper crazy. I did laugh a good old laugh at this.
