Poor Basil. I have a pic of Ollie at the vets absolutely fuming. He had a pink bandage, a catheter and was sleeping in his litter tray to show them just how angry he was

Here you go. I think he wanted to be clean too hence the litter tray sleeping. He still refused to wee, the vet said stressed cats don't wee, take him home. I came to take him home, vet picked him up and he looked her in the face and did the most giant wee all over her

Basil has been kept in again tonight and they're reviewing him again the morning. Apparently he isn't in a very good mood. Since he's shut in a cage, been given food he doesn't like, and had a catheter stuck in him, I'm not entirely surprised.

Yeah I wouldn't be very keen on that either.

Keeping our fingers and paws crossed that he is home soon

99.9% certain these 2 are up to no good . Hope Basil is home today and feeling better!

I've just had a little old lady turn up on my doorstep, asking if I can take her elderly cat next week for a while.

Why?.

She wants to go away for a week, her DH and DD have fairly recently passed away. Weird thing is, I've never spoken to her before!

Basil is back and is very dopey, but clearly pleased to see us. Currently limpetted to DW's lap.

Basil is home! There's nothing like sleeping on your own human after being hospitalised.

It’s a bit eccentric to go away when you’ve just been bereaved.

Basil looks a bit traumatised there doesn’t he?.

He's knackered but delighted to be home, isn't he. Dear Basil, it's so rare to see him not in Lion Master of Earth mode.

I know @Fluffy and @Just, I wondered whether the adorable old lady was planning more of a delivery than a loan.
