Bloody worrying this food issue. Been phoning round people to let them know. I spoke to my sister & she then popped in to see a friend of hers (30 minutes ago). Her friend was using one of the recalled Applaws products. She phoned the shop where it was purchased and they knew nothing about it... Hopefully her cats will be fine.
There really isn't sufficient publicity about the recall.

The recall only came out last night so could take a while to filter through to everyone

My lovely mum text the teenagers after I had a mini breakdown on her today and told them if they don't start helping out she wont be having them to stay at their seaside caravan anymore.

They have hoovered and swept and mopped on the kitchen and made me a salad for tomorrow.

Yes very worrying that this ain't in mainstream media yet. I've just spent the last 30 mins going through the posts on the Facebook awareness group and number of young healthy cats lost is absolutely heartbreaking.

He seems to be. Isn't as keen on going out now so he's mostly been sitting on the windowsill with his head outside and bum inside

No - Basil was very out of sorts this morning and couldn't pee. Straight to the vet and we are now awaiting a call back. Warned it is likely to be a trip to the specialist with a c. 2k bill . Should hear back in the next hour or so.
Really hoping this is a one off problem that can be resolved.

Nope. Charlie wandered through last night with bright red blood pouring out of his eye . Never seen anything like it. This morning it's like nothing has happened. Not sure if small cheetah walloped him (there was raw steak involved) or whether it was something else. All prepared to take him to the vet this morning but you'd never know anything had been wrong. Very very odd. And absolutely terrifying

Mine are just sleeping 23 hours a day!

Although am now having a panic as there is a suggestion that Lidl's cat biscuits might be involved in this scare. The girls had them for a couple of months while money was short but have been back on their Iams for the last month.

I keep checking their gums and litter trays but can't shake the worry at all!

I think I'd still get Charlie checked out if I'm honest Just. My old lad Harley had something similar and he'd got high blood pressure.

Gomez climbed out of the landing window onto the garage roof yesterday and didn’t know how to get down or back 😱 I was out so kept getting messages from the girlchild about it plus updates on bickering between her and boychilds girlfriend 😞

Got her down in the end then she slept the rest of the day and cuddled with me all night

I just revived my first bee 🐝😊

Well done Yes. How? I took a bee on the bus once to get it to some green but I can't be sure it worked.

My 2 have been taking turns in the same plant pot (still has soil in it). I did weed the monoblock after the neighbour sent me the first picture!

How did I revive a bee? With a Bee Reviver kit! 🐝

There was a thread not long ago about reviving bees and I got a little bottle which I carry in my pocket. So I was kneeling on the lawn while the li'l bumbly had a good drink then I scooped him onto a leaf and popped him in a flower 😁

I've had an exciting day driving Basil around not.
Just had a call from the veterinary hospital.
Basil now has a catheter & his bladder is empty. He's also apparently feeling better
Without wishing to go into gory details he's had a two cm plug of something unpleasant removed fron his uethra. Hoping to get him back tomorrow if he can pee by himself...
Does worry me that they don't yet seem to know why it's happened. Hopefully they'll have an idea tomorrow. (Bloody hope so considering the bill of doom)
