Dh is 6’ 3” & couldn’t box our cat 😂. He had to pick him up from the cattery once when I was ill & ask the staff to do it for him.

QueenPaw · 09/03/2021 09:57

Ollie is having a busy morning prancing about outside and jumping in and out the window. There is a NEW CAT which he's not sure about

Papergirl1968 · 09/03/2021 14:29

I dropped my phone down the toilet a few days ago. Just heard it's too badly damaged to be repaired. Sad
I've just nipped over to use dd's. I'm so annoyed with myself!

NowYouListenToMeFella · 09/03/2021 16:46

Tom currently in with the vet. He went ballistic when I closed the crate. Happy that I managed to do it. Thanks everyone for all the help.

TheLongRider · 09/03/2021 16:54

Well done @NowYouListenToMeFella! The going ballistic is normal for some cats. He'll be fine once he's home.

Sorry to hear about your phone @Papergirl1968.

That's so annoying. So easily done.
Fluffycloudland77 · 09/03/2021 17:01

Can you get a used one off Cex @Papergirl1968?.

Part of being a well looked after cat is being forced into a plastic box periodically to be violated by a total stranger.

Girlcat did the ballistic thing first time I crated her. Since then it's only ever been piteous crying for as long as we are in the car both directions, and silence at the V.E.T.

Boycat was so scared the first time I crated him that he was shivering and open mouthed panting until I got him back home. Now he's the same as his sister - cry on the journey there & back.

NowYouListenToMeFella · 09/03/2021 18:24

Stony silence on the way there and back. He was very good for the vet. He's hiding for himself now. Got him microchipped too so hopefully no vet visits for the foreseeable future.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/03/2021 18:24

The stony silence of the cat who temporarily wishes you’d drop dead 😃 while you poke your fingers through the cage at the back of their head because obviously they’ve got their back to you as well.

swampytiggaa · 09/03/2021 19:57

My 3 cry piteously all the way to the vets and back. H drives and a child comes with me to help me carry them in. They bloody love the vets tho 😂😂

QueenPaw · 09/03/2021 20:08

Ollie howls all the way while standing up which means he slides about
Then it's "mama, I feel SICK" and he throws up, usually on me or if timed well, the vet
They open the carrier and he curls into a ball with his paw slammed over his eyes and they try to uncurl him and he springs back into a ball
Dramatic is not the word. Last time he convinced them he would only eat if hand fed while being cuddled Hmm

QueenPaw · 09/03/2021 20:25

Also ghost cat stole the milkshake, not him of course

😂😂😂 at the milkshake thief. Loving all the trip to the vets stories. Tom likes me again.

I love Ollie.

Mine have all yelled all the way to the vets. Bertie even managed it the night I rushed him in, even though he was dying 😢

nettie434 · 09/03/2021 22:04

Ollie, we'd know those milkshake covered whiskers anywhere! Tom looks a lovely fellow NowYouListenToMeFella. I'm glad you're forgiven. Let's hope you don't have to practise your new cat crating vet transporting skills for ages now!

nettie434 · 09/03/2021 22:07

Sorry about your phone too, Papergirl1968. Hope you can get a nice good value refurbished one. These things always happen at the wrong time.

Papergirl1968 · 09/03/2021 23:18

I'm hoping to get a phone sorted by the end of the week. My sister loaned me one which i broke trying to get the sim in, so it's also in for repair.
In the meantime, I'm using an ancient and very slow and unreliable laptop.
Ollie needs a bib. Grin

QueenPaw · 09/03/2021 23:22

Ollie needs to not dive head first in, ears and all. I got a very sad face when I removed it

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/03/2021 10:25

Basil and Sybil, after joining us for breakfast, each took one look outside this morning and seeing the weather was vile have now settled in for the day.

Don't expect the idle buggers to surface until tea time. Can't say I blame them.

Back to normality here, Grin at all the lovely pix.

Cap'n pissed in my eye.

And in my ear.

Petcare tip, folks - don't try and arse groom an adorable helpless fluffy ginger kitty.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/03/2021 11:41

Cap'n pissed in my eye. And in my ear.

That's just rude Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/03/2021 14:10

I just rattled the dreamies packet with Sybil in earshot Grin

Sybil is gorgeous. Anytime I open the fridge Tom appears with his little begging face. He are some cat grass today and puked it up on the living room floor.

Can I pick the collective brain again please. Is it worth getting pet insurance?
