Boycat has recently started to vanish somewhere in the house (no idea where) and sleep right through supper and beyond. He only appears just as I'm going to bed on those nights - possibly for the bed time Dreamies they usually get. Rustling the Dreamies packet loudly may bring him out from wherever he is?

The other thing that mine do, Boycat especially, is if they feel under the weather or something has scared them they tuck themselves under the sofa, or even inside the covers at the back. I can't use the recliner on the sofa in rain storms unless I can be sure I can see both cats, so they can't get trapped in the mechanism.

And in other news, must be the week for good news on the job front for Litter Tray MNers - interviewed yesterday for a job with a nearby council, just had a call saying I've got it!

Kitties will be well unimpressed at me going back out to work!

Well done Allergictoironing. There seems to have been a whole spate of litter tray contributors getting jobs recently.

I'll add myself to that list. Having had no contract work for two years (caused by Brexit followed by Covid) - I start a new one on 17th May. It's going to be a bit of a shock being a wage slave again...
The above might just be the reason I've had so much time to devote to regaling you all with TC's shenanigans over the last couple of years.

No start date for me yet, have to wait on a) references (I've already called them to alert them) and b) DBS check. Praying they only want the basic as that usually comes through in a couple of days & I only had my last one 2 years ago. Standard can take a while, and haven't had one of them for over 5 years.

TBH, was doing the near enough identical job for my local council until the grant there ran out, and they never asked for a DBS so hopefully this lot will go for basic!

For my new role I got my (basic) DBS check back within 24 hours (today). Just waiting for the certificate.

I have had to scan my passport four times for different checks in the last 48 hours and have to attend a video call tomorrow so someone can look at my passport and me at the same time - you'd really think once was enough...

I had my first jab this morning so have been feeling slightly spaced out and tried to snooze all afternoon. Girlcats have been all over me, purry cuddles and head bumps.

Boycats have been tearing about the place, jumping on and off the kitchen wall units and demanding more food. And beating each other up. Little malakas 😹

Been to work today for the first time in 12 months... Leroy is abso-fucking-lutely furious.

It is such a good name for her! Hope the feet and hips are feeling a bit less painful now and that Leroy has forgiven you for your absence.

Haha thank you. I can't imagine that wishing me a happy birthday is high on the list of priorities of a magnificent ginger cat! It was good thank you, despite being unwell. I usually get really maudlin on my birthday, but this year was nice.

Agatha has stopped shouting at me long enough to discover the joys of a warm radiator. 😃. She's now been spayed and has started going outside, which she seems to like. Unfortunately, she still won't allow me to touch her, and I need to renew her flea treatment. I think I'm going to have to perfect my towel-burrito skills....

Once they're used to that you can do that and slam the flea treatment on in their sleep. Ollie usually wakes up just as the last drop is done to give me a look of complete disgust

@nettie434 - hips and feet much better thank you, but I got a lift to and from work and only one exam today. 10K less steps!
Two exams tomorrow and three on Thursday so I could well be suffering again 😂.
