I stayed away from that thread @LockdownIsDragging as I guessed it would send my blood pressure through the roof.

@swampytiggaa there is a thread in baby names about Morticia!

Matt has just fallen off the radiator - again. This happens several times each evening, but he sometimes manages to turn it into a jump mid air, like he totally meant to do it.
This time he went splat on the floor. Landed with a crash, legs splayed, looking a little dazed. Then picked himself up, shook himself, and got right back on the radiator. Although it looked dramatic, I guess only his pride was hurt.
How me and the dog laughed. Grin

Supersimkin2 · 16/03/2021 22:20

Magic Matt Grin

Just caught Capn robbing trifle. Not just trifle M&S raspberry serves 4, furry burglar that he is.

Doesn’t appear to be struggling with regret.

Cat thieving is en vogue. DD left a portion of mayonnaise on the table, turned around to get her plate from the counter, turned back to find black & white fluffy idiot licking the mayo! He was delighted, she was disgusted and received a lecture in not leaving cat and food within reach of the other.

Capn looks...replete. Smile

I’ve commented 😊 thank you

Supersimkin2 · 17/03/2021 07:43

Mr C was a bitch for chips ‘n’ Mayo. Hygiene a priority, we shared the paper they came in. I do let cats lick plates, but usually when I’ve had first go.

Allergictoironing · 17/03/2021 08:06

Cap'n definitely looks - replete! How on earth do you even pick him up these days, that's a LOT of cat!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/03/2021 08:09

Cap'n Grin.

And I thought TC was looking portly!

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/03/2021 08:33

It’s the captains summer coat coming through, it makes them look bigger.

@LockdownIsDragging ours was run over so I’m very pro cat proofing now. It would save a lot of problems with batshit neighbours if your cat is confined to your garden but rat and mice populations would go up a bit until the raptors took over.

Matt is a legend. Your not tempted to pop a pillow under there to provide a soft landing.

QueenPaw · 17/03/2021 10:47

Morning humans. Arrived at 10.45am exactly for a snack. Got some raw food after I stared at the fridge for ages

Took Leroy out for a walk at about noon(ish), out for an hour.

We are now out AGAIN because DH is an absolute pathetic mug when it comes to cat sadface.

We'll be back out at 6ish too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/03/2021 17:01

Was it a daily mail sad face complete with a shift dress in a Jewell colour and nude patent court shoes or did he wear his own clothes?

YesItsMeIDontCare · 17/03/2021 17:28

His own fluffy black coat but it was definitely a face worthy of the DM.

"Give him half an hour... poor lad" said DH.
"Look at him! I swear to god he just smiled when you got his harness!"

We were out for over an hour and even then I had to bribe him out of the undergrowth with Oomies and then carry him home.

He's asleep on the bed now and I am going to join him for an hour or so!

So DH wants the cat walked, and YOU have to walk him? Make DH take him! Grin
Supersimkin2 · 17/03/2021 17:52

'Poor Lad' my arse. Carried home being handfed snacks.

I hope DH on supper duty @YesItsMeIDontCare. Cooked pudding, the works. Dh can handfeed you too.

Little Paws, home for dinner too by the looks of things.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/03/2021 17:53

Leroy didn’t walk home though 😃. He got a taxi.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 17/03/2021 18:47

So DH wants the cat walked, and YOU have to walk him? - Yep. DH acts up how bad is back really is struggles to walk far or stand for long periods.

I hope DH on supper duty YesItsMeIDontCare. - DS is 😁.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/03/2021 19:22

swampytiggaa · 17/03/2021 20:28

I need some advice (again, but not the last time I'm guessing....)

Our kitten has slight diarrhea. By now the really bad smell has subsided, so her gut bacteria is probably back to normal. But....

  1. she drinks loads of water. so question is: how much is "normal", if there is such a thing...
  2. she drinks so much because she is on a dry food diet?
  3. She gets about 50-75g of wet food/day in 3-4 small chunks.
  4. unlimited - reasonable amount of dry food out and she eats when she is hungry.
What are we doing wrong/how should we be doing it?

Otherwise she is healthy, playful, obviously nothing wrong with her, but we'd like to get the feeding part right.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/03/2021 20:34

It all sounds fine to me, you’d know if she wanted more. I wouldn’t worry about drinking at this age either. Your doing great and she sounds a very healthy girl now.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 17/03/2021 23:31

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣

Leroy is on the bed, DH is in the spare room - revenge is mine 😁
.

@TheSunIsStillShining - she sounds fine. I've always been told by several vets that sometimes cats just get a bit of "looseness", sometimes it's permanent and just the way they are. It's only as more cats are kept indoors or at least in overnight and using trays that owners are noticing. Unless they're unwell in themselves it's not a problem. Same with drinking, who knows how many puddles, drains and garden buckets cats drink out of 🤷🏼‍♀️. As long as she's well in herself and weeing with no problems it's fine.
