@TheLongRider that's SO adorable how they have their paws around each other 💜

TheLongRider · 14/03/2021 00:04

Well now, Nemo sat on top of Hobbes. Hobbes grabbed and washed Nemo. Nemo is now nearly 4kg of kitten. Nemo put up with the washing until Hobbes got fed up of having a heavy kitten sitting on him and wriggled out if the basket. Nemo did a happy sigh and curled up in the basket for the next few hours.

Moral of the story, Nemo is craftier than he looks.

@TheLongRider
Absolutely love that photo of Nemo and Hobbes. Reminds me of two of my previous two cats, Monty and his brother, who were completely bonded, always together and always grooming each other. None of my current lot behave like that Sad.

See with my pair, mutual grooming always ends up with biting then fighting/chasing. Typical siblings!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/03/2021 07:42

Sybil sometimes grooms Basil, but only if he is sitting on Mrs Grumpy. She does it to irritate him so he moves, thereby freeing up Mrs Grumpy's lap.

Happy Mother's' Day to all kitty mothers!

💐

(Leroy did not allow me a lie in today 🙄)

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/03/2021 07:46

Now there's a question. Have our sons got round to doing anything for Mothering Sunday. I did remind them both earlier in the week Grin.

The only time my DSis's sons remember Mother's Day is when their respective (female) partners sort it for them!

Leroy: No.

DS: He asked me (from the depths of his bed) if I wanted to open my "things" before I took Leroy out or when I got back. Which is promising.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/03/2021 12:42

Huzzah! DS2 made Mrs Grumpy a card.
When I texted DS1 this morning to wish him a happy Mothering Sunday Grin he responded
'I shall call home after I have played in a Steinway masterclass' Pretentious git.

The cats needless to say have done sod all to celebrate. To he fair though we missed Basil and Sybil's 10th birthday earlier this month so it may be revenge.

I love it, Ollie is half on the warm fleecy blanket, and half on the nice cool M&S bedding. He's got the best of both worlds!

Keeps his bum warm and head cool he says Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/03/2021 18:18

Leroy is the present. Leroy knows this.

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats Obviously ds1 gets that from Mrs Grumpies side.

Au naturellement. He couldn't possibly have got it from moi. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/03/2021 19:30

You are one of the proletariat like us @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats 😂

QueenPaw · 15/03/2021 12:18

Paws, who has never wanted the wet food has just asked to come in (via the door) and demolished ollies leftover £££ raw food

YesItsMeIDontCare · 16/03/2021 11:07

Christ on a furry bike that Purrform Raw is expensive shit!!! 😱

No wonder Ollie has smug-face and Paws polished it off!

I had a look for Leroy 'cause he likes a nice bit of raw meat... it's not gonna happen 😕

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/03/2021 11:12

They’re meant to eat less raw though. I’d eat more if I lived on really processed food so I do wonder if it’s true they don’t need as much.

QueenPaw · 16/03/2021 12:55

@Fluffycloudland77 nobody has told Ollie that Blush
He's eaten 520g in 2 days (average is meant to be 100g a day..) I'm surprised he hasn't popped yet
Ordered some cheaper raw stuff which has v good reviews seeing as he's demolishing this

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/03/2021 13:06

I always suspected they hadn’t read the feeding guides, asbo ate 450g wet a day. 500g if dh put him to bed that night.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/03/2021 13:07

Including fresh salmon, if I remember rightly. Darling Asbo.

QueenPaw · 16/03/2021 13:09

I've ordered this sample pack and told him it's not a light snack
https://www.rudyfood.co.uk/products/2kg-rudyraw-sample-pack
Also paws needs to start bin diving again

QueenPaw · 16/03/2021 15:31

Paws didn't listen, has just come in and eaten all the food, licked the plate clean and vanished

Ollie "but but that's MY food"

LockdownIsDragging · 16/03/2021 16:20

Has anyone seen the AIBU thread about cats pooing in other peoples gardens. Shows a scary hatred of cats, lots of suggestions to ‘cat proof’ gardens to keep them in. Seems to be a complete lack of understanding that cats are considered wild animals and don’t give a toss whose garden humans think it is, they consider it to be there playground.
Tongue in cheek but seriously do people really think us cat owners cat control where our masters go and where they poo?
