Our little cat is lost somewhere in the loft space. He went up whilst oh was up clearing the loft and has disappeared, it’s been 3 hours and I can’t hear him. We’re in a terrace and think the lofts connect, next door have been up and can’t hear him, the next along are at work.

I’m going between sheer panic and utter depression.

I hope he comes back soon Thanks

My boy disappeared off two days (very out of character) and sauntered in as if nothing had happened. We'd had half the estate checking their garages.

Hope he turns up soon, I agree with putting fish out they can't resist.

Going forward though, when he comes down try to train him with Dreamies. Put them in a plastic pot and everyday shake it, and give a Dreamie.

After a while they know the shaking of the pot means a treat. It never fails when I want my cat to turn up! 🐱

He’s baaaack!!!!!!!

He got stuck in the neighbours (2 doors down) loft and couldn’t get out.

I’ve never been so happy and annoyed with him. He’s sleeping with me tonight.

So happy he’s home!!!!

PinkyU · 19/01/2021 20:09

He’s a little on edge but un-injured and absolutely starving.

The neighbours had said that when they went up it looked like he had knocked a drill box over the way he got in so he had no way of getting back by himself.

I do wonder what their cat must have thought for the last 8 hours hearing a random yowling coming from inside its house.

Brilliant news

Heybeendyingtomeetyou · 20/01/2021 06:03

So glad he’s back, such a worry when they vanish for hours.
I am trying to imagine the conversation with a neighbour ‘excuse me, could you check your attic to see if my cat is in there please?’ Grin
He’s such a cutie.

PinkyU · 20/01/2021 08:55

He’s an absolute tank of a cat, huge in every way. Our neighbours were really lovely about it, apparently their cat had gotten lost in their loft for 2 days last year but they hadn’t thought about him being able to access the other oft spaces.

He’s had a very lavish night of bed hopping, waking the owner of said bed for a cuddle then moving on to the next.

Very pleased (but not surprised) that you have him back.

You do know that he'll be up in the loft again like a shot at the next opportunity? Grin

catsrus · 20/01/2021 09:05

We live in a detached - but have had two loft ladder climbing addicts in the past - bloody annoying to have to stand guard at the ladder every time someone went in the loft, they were very sneaky and determined Hmm
