Cat killed on Christmas day

My cat was hit by a car today, close to home, while I was cooking christmas lunch. Am absolutely gutted, for myself, but mostly for my children. What a horrible end to a tricky year !

Oh that’s awful on a normal day, but must be awful at Christmas. Hope it was quick for the cat and your Christmas wasn’t totally ruined.

I'm so sorry to hear this. This happened to our dear cat last Christmas day. We were absolutely heartbroken.

Oh I’m so sorry, it’s awful when it’s so sudden and you get no time to prepare & it’s awful when you know it’s coming because you have time to dread the day.

So sad. When I got my cat issued to DC if the cat does what do you want to do, leave it for a while or get another kitten. The responded the latter. Wasn't trying to be morbid just to prepare them for a possible occurrence

I'm so sorry. I've lost a young cat to the road (at Christmas time) and so I feel your pain and grief.

My cat also died suddenly last month and the shock was overwhelming. Today has been difficult without her.

Thank you all for taking the time to write such lovely messages. Am so glad we all got to spend time with her last night and this morning. She was very loved. Didnt feel like I could tell friends/family yet as didn't want to spoil their day but had to get it out of my system somewhere. You are all very kind.

How awful on any day, but especially Christmas Day. A family member’s cat was killed by a dog on Christmas Eve a few years ago. Adds a sadness each year on Christmas Eve as we remember her.
