The Hooman has been home for 3 days. She says she's under house arrest.
But snorg and I have very important cat things to do. How can we do it with her under paw? Are we being unreasonable, to want her to go away. And she sits in my favourite on the sofa. It's just not fair

Bet you wouldn't think that if you were a mouse!

I read something once vis a vis cats and their supposed ability to deter rodents, just by their mere physical presence. Seemingly, rodents have evolved to be wary of the very smell of cats, so are thought to avoid areas with the catty smell. ps. I'm not accusing cats of being smelly, I'll say their fragrance/odour instead.

I haven't found the article since and OH is very sceptical when I cast a gaze over the two furry lumps asleep in the bedrooms (talking about my cats there!) and tell him they are hard at work deterring rodents, even as they sleep.

So, if that is true, a mouse may very well avoid chez Cheddar without her having to extend a single claw.

Both girls say this must be true, and they are such a great deterrent that they can do it in their sleep. I, on the other hand am
A little sceptical. They really aren't the most dynamic of felines.
Although this pic makes me out to be a liar as Cheddar just killed a scary snake. (It was a sock)
