Fighting my socks!

👋Hey Longrider.

Sadly my Tippi passed away in July and I stayed away for a while. It was very sudden & unexpected. I noticed a change in her behaviour, took her to see the vet and they found a big mass which was squashing her lung, and making breathing really difficult for her. There was nothing that could be done and I had to make the very difficult decision to say goodbye to her. It was heartbreaking and I really miss her, especially our little chats.

Bertie has become a real pet & doesn't venture far. I'm so pleased he has a retirement home with me after so many years a stray Tom. He's a lovely, kind old man, but has the appetite of Six Dinner Sid

Very sorry to hear about Tippi - always thought she looked the spitting image of Basil.
Pleased that Bertie clearly recognises a good thing and has settled in.

@Want2beme Ah no, I'm so sorry for your loss. She looked fantastic and I'm sure you did the right thing for her no matter how heartbreaking for you.

So it's just the white cat and the old fella left. I seem to remember that they tolerated each other and I hope that is continuing.

I always thought they were very alike. Lovely cats, Basil & Tippi.

Yes, just Dolly & Bertie now. They don't spend much time together, but he's the first cat who's showed her any kindness. She seems to bring out the worst in other cats, 🤷‍♀️poor wee thing. She really is a perfectly lovely girl.

I love grey or grey n white cats - over past 35 years I have always had at least one Dcat but he has stolen my heart like no other!

I had clearly displeased her in some way, but no idea how. Oh well, she'll get over it, maybe!!

LongRider - the calico is a gentle sweetheart, the tortie has bags of tortietude and rules the roost - she even used to have a go at a neighbouring ginger tom (sadly no longer with us).
