Haribo is missing

I never thought I would post here but my lovely 10 month old cat has gone missing. I last saw him yesterday at 2pm when I came in from work and he shot off. I've done all the necessary but I am petrified that he has become a victim to foxes.

My last but one cat was found dead with his ribcage ripped open and I've tortured myself for years that he wasn't involved in a rtc and then the foxes got him but he ended his life being ripped apart by them.

It took me 3 years after Troy died from Hypertropic Cardiomyopathy to let another animal into my life and now this has happened. I am beside myself.

This is Haribo 2 days ago.

Sleep and eat! Stuff your face with cake and a drink - you deserve it after all that worry 🍰 🍷

nettie434 · 08/05/2020 00:47

Oh thank goodness - it must be such a relief for you. At least you will be able to sleep tonight.

Lordfrontpaw · 08/05/2020 00:48

Hang on - he was locked in someone’s shed and they wouldn’t let him out? Poor cat! (Pilchards through their letterbox)

TroysMammy · 08/05/2020 05:55

Lordfrontpaw We couldn't get an answer from the person whose shed he was in or access to the garden. It was the neighbours either side who wouldn't allow us access through their gardens to get to him.

Oh wow op I'm so pleased for you. I came to see if you'd found him. Phew you can take a deep breath and let go of all that worry now. ThanksWine

HuggedTheRedwoods · 08/05/2020 09:21

He's sparkling white as he'd washed himself in boredom Grin bless him.

Brilliant update, can't imagine your relief. Hopefully shed neighbour is a decent type and will keep an eye out to make sure Haribo isn't in the shed next time he locks up (assuming Haribo is ever ungrounded!)

Toddlerteaplease · 08/05/2020 10:04

Fantastic news. Such a relief!

He cried by the back door this morning. Fat chance matey.

I wonder if his friend knew where he was. The other night after pacing around my greenhouse he walked across the road, went through the neighbours garden which backs onto the back garden where he was found. His friend was out last night watching developments.

Got to admire his optimism though!.

Windyatthebeach · 08/05/2020 13:03

Anyone think microchip should include GPS?

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/05/2020 13:12

Oh yes, that would be awesome!. How would they keep it powered to keep transmitting for 20 years though?.

Want2beme · 08/05/2020 13:27

Let's see who's first to cave, TroysMammyGrin

midnightstar66 · 08/05/2020 13:42

You can get gps collars for cats. More practical to recharge Smile. Glad he's back.

Ellmau · 08/05/2020 14:55

So glad you found him!

MitziK · 08/05/2020 16:24

Glad he's back. But really, don't worry so much or torture yourself about foxes - the majority are shit scared of angry things with multiple needles on every corner and even vixens defending their young prefer to posture and scare rather than get embroiled with cats.

Beamur · 08/05/2020 20:56

He won't go back to where he got stuck. They're not daft.
