I've just realised that Cheddar thinks she's a Koala, from the way she likes to be held.

Cat 1 - a dog (she greets everyone who comes in the house and jumps up on her back legs)

Cat 2 - Houdini

minipie · 14/01/2020 13:16

Still getting to know mine as we just got her on Sunday

So far she identifies as a toddler. Follows me everywhere including the loo. Into everything. Prefers my food to hers. Meows until I pay her sufficient attention. Also very cute Grin

wheresmymojo · 14/01/2020 13:16

Cat 1 - a Labrador
Cat 2 - a human
Cat 3 - too stupid to understand the concept of identify
Cat 4 - a velociraptor

InOtterNews · 14/01/2020 13:22

I think two of mine identify as dog. The other one - possibly hermit crab

theoriginalmadambee · 14/01/2020 13:26

Didn't see your thread, just posted one.

My Dcat, a budgie Smile.

TroysMammy · 14/01/2020 13:29

A big girl's blouse. He shook like a leaf both times I've taken him outside.

justcly · 14/01/2020 14:32

My big ginger boy identifies as a dog. He barks. As in, he does a feline approximation of a bark, a sort of high pitched "yap-yap". He'd pass as a chihuahua, but not a rottweiler, iyswim.

bigknickersbigknockers · 14/01/2020 14:36

an antisocial bastard

Gertrudesgarden · 14/01/2020 14:40

Tabby boy identifies as an opera singer (a bad one), crossed with a political prisoner (when it's not going his way), with a touch of blanket (when he wants you to sit down so he can lie on you).

Tortie girl identified as the queen of the world, chicken eater extraordinaire and The Only One Whose Opinion Mattered.

unbaffled · 14/01/2020 14:43

A Siamese, if the nocturnal yowling is anything to go by. Otherwise, a cushion with teeth.

madcatladyforever · 14/01/2020 14:43

Mine identifies as a piece of taxidermy, she hasn't moved for hours now.

Baaaahhhhh · 14/01/2020 14:51

Dog. Catches and returns (!) balls thrown for him, brings in sticks to play with. Likes rough play, patting/slapping/running. When we go out, waits on doorstep for return, sometimes runs next to the car along the road, frightening life out of human owners.

Leopard. Will chew human ankles if not fed, attacks ankles when grumpy. Sits on high ledges waiting to drop on prey (humans). Lies on back with legs akimbo for tummy to be rubbed. High daily small dead mammal count. Alternatively sleeps all day.

FredWinnie · 14/01/2020 16:21

An agile lapdog with an alpha mentality

VittysCardigan · 14/01/2020 16:28

A Tasmanian devil

ImaginaryCat · 14/01/2020 16:29

Probably Lord Vetinari.... a highly trained assassin who mostly lives the high life whilst underlings pander to her every whim, all the while plotting total world domination

Pieceofpurplesky · 14/01/2020 16:43

An evil witch that bites and claws the dog just for fun

TheSecondMrsAshwell · 14/01/2020 17:41

Dunno about Ashycat. Long distance sleeper?

Donald, the big black cat from upstairs is the large posh bloke at the bar with a loud opinion on everything and a gin and tonic in his hand (chinos and blue blazer, natch).

And there's a black and white cat that hangs around my back door who identifies as Lee Van Cleef in The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.

SomeLikeItTepid · 14/01/2020 17:53

Our cats second name is The Startled Bastard.

Bunnybigears · 14/01/2020 17:56

Cat 1 identifies as a stuffed toy (very rarely moves)
Cat 2 identifies as an arsehole
Cat 3 identifies as a tornado

Tigerty · 14/01/2020 18:01

A foghorn. She’s a tiny little thing as well. All lungs that one.

violetbunny · 14/01/2020 18:12

Lol, one of our cats is named Koala - she is grey and white and spent most of her time as a young kitten trying to climb everything in sight (our curtains were in tatters!)

Boycat thinks he's a person and often sleeps under the bed covers with me, with his little head poking out over the top just like me 😂

PigletJohn · 14/01/2020 18:38

owl

What does your cat identify as?
Stravapalava · 14/01/2020 18:39

My old fella is Lord of the Universe!

DowntonCrabby · 14/01/2020 18:39

A needy baby, she’d be quite happy to sleep in you all day long and wants carrying around when you have to move. Confused

spongedog · 14/01/2020 18:44

Old Siamese - categorically an Egyptian god (despite being 1-eyed, and really truthfully very manky, so nobody would want to worship him at all!)

New Siamese - a squark box. Not quite sure what has happened to the Siamese miaou
