No ragdolls in my house. Just wanted to say that they both look very luxuriousGrin

Benji13 · 17/06/2018 09:19

Our gorgeous but anti social Tortie point ragdoll Lily. Ex foster cat who stayed 😂 What a character love her loads x

I have moggies, but a lady up the road from me has her daughter staying with a lovely ragdoll. I saw him outside the other day having a walk round the garden on his lead, he's gorgeous! I had always thought they were a smaller breed until I met one face to face, he's a BIG cat plus all the floof (6kg, same as my panther).

kocerhan3 · 17/06/2018 15:44

@Allergictoironing just makes you want to squish and mush them doesn't it Grin ours is a female but still weighs over 5kg!! Big cats, big bones and lots of fur. I love it

@Benji13 I love that she stayed rather than you adopted her Grin

I'd never even heard of them until a few months ago. My client has two. I now want one. What I loved was that when I tried to stop fussing them they would bat you with their paws so you would carry on. Adorable. I'm not really a cat person either. I used to be until my friend moved in with me bringing Satan in a fur coat with her. He'd take a swipe at you for no reason often drawing blood. I thought I'd been put off for life.

kocerhan3 · 17/06/2018 15:56

@donajimena I wish I could post videos as whimsy does exactly this!!!

Satan in a fur coat 😂. Love it. My Lottie is quite a small girl at 4.7k.

Toddlerteaplease · 17/06/2018 22:39

Must admit I prefer Persians to ragdolls!

donajimena · 17/06/2018 23:10

I'm googling rag dolls for sale now!

AlexaAmbidextra · 18/06/2018 02:52

Toddler. Now I prefer the Ragdoll as they don’t have the completely flat face of the Persian which I really don’t like. My very favourite of all is the Siamese as have always had these. I didn’t actually choose Lottie but acquired her in sad circumstances. However, she’s a little sweetie. 😻

junecat · 18/06/2018 08:22

My boy, one this month. He's a feisty one but I get lots of cuddles too :)

I love Persians too but every one I've met has an awful attitude issue Grin

Big big fan of ragdolls here!
I was happy to get a moggy when we were looking for a new cat but DH insisted on a raggie and I’m so glad!
They’re so loving and inquisitive, almost like a mini dog imo. And I love that ragdoll flop Grin

Beau is only 6 months and I already want another, they are additictive!

Does anyone have any experience of the different colours having different personalities? I think i heard that the cream ones can be slightly more independent and less loving.

All of your cats are gorgeous 😍

PrettyLovely · 19/06/2018 16:55

I love ragdolls, I am planning on getting two in few months time !!

AromaticSpices · 19/06/2018 16:56

Ragdolls aren't hypoallergenic by any chance, are they?! I have a bit of a cat allergy but desperately want one. The hairless wierd ones don't do it for me Blush. Ragdoll cats are so beautiful!

ImAGoofyGoober · 19/06/2018 16:59

I doubt it, they’re super fluffy! Get one anyway Grin

ScreamingValenta · 19/06/2018 17:00

A moggie owner myself, but tagging along for your lovely Ragdoll pictures. I love all cats!

junecat · 19/06/2018 17:11

I adore my daft boy! He spends most of his nap times like this :)

mummymermaid · 19/06/2018 17:15

No ragdolls aren't hypoallergenic but Siberian cats are apparently.

On another note; we were planning on adopting a cat but we have two young children so not sure if that'll ever work out. I read ragdolls are great with kids?? Is this true?

ImAGoofyGoober · 19/06/2018 17:18

My kitten has been brilliant with my kids. They’re very loud and boisterous children but he’s totally unfazed by them, just slinks off if the noise gets too much.
I think as long as you teach children to be respectful of pets they should be fine.

PuppyMonkey · 19/06/2018 17:20

Hooray for Ragdolls. This is Buttercup the Tabby Seal Point. Her interests include eating and sleeping. That’s all actually. Grin
