Our 5 year old is so very gentle with cats and just wants a cuddle buddy! But our 2 year old is very boisterous, still work in progress. I didn't want to get a kitten because of that, thought maybe an adult cat would be more suitable.

Oh I love a tabby raggie! Gorgeous.

Mummy just from personal experience I would go for a kitten if you have young children. It’s not often you get an adult up for adoption that is ok with young kids. It can happen but you’d need to keep your eyes peeled!
If kitten has stayed with its mum for long enough it should be quite a confident cat. You can always talk to the breeder and advise you are looking for a kitten who isn’t shy or nervous.

My rescue Ragdoll Jasper
He is magnificent & cute, but has absolutely no concept of personal space!

Thanks Goofy, I was just worried our 2 year old might unintentionally hurt a kitten as they seem so tiny. I would love a kitten though 😍.
