Hit by a car this afternoon. Thank you to the kind people who took him to the vets.

The softest, most affectionate, most beautiful boy. I can’t believe it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/05/2018 20:35

Is he a Bengal?

DramaAlpaca · 17/05/2018 20:36

He's beautiful, was he a Bengal?
I'm so sorry for your loss Flowers

Bagadverts · 17/05/2018 20:37

He was beautiful Flowers

Libbylongtree · 17/05/2018 20:42

He is a Bengal. Typical Bengal in some ways but ridiculously affectionate to everyone. His attitude to a stranger was just ‘ooh, someone else to love me and tell me how gorgeous I am’

I am devastated. He was my boy, slept on me every night and on my lap at every chance. What am I supposed to do, can’t stop crying and torturing myself watching videos of him

You don’t get over it, you get used to coping with the pain. 2 is very young to lose a cat.

mookinsx · 17/05/2018 20:49

I remember loosing my first cat. I was 15. I sat and cried with my mum for days. It was the school holidays and to begin with I just couldn't do anything but watch TV and cry. I engrossed myself in Jonathan Creek and could blame the fact I couldn't sleep on murder mystery fear. I was So saddened. But it does get better. It's horrible and it hurts. But it does get better. Months after the loss of our precious Turkey we got two new cats, we loved turkey with all our hearts and they were ripped out when he left us.
Stay strong OP. I hope you find something that helps you through this - even if it is a cup of tea and a giant bar of chocolate to sob into x

I'm so, so sorry OP Flowers I wish I could say something to take your pain away. He didn't suffer and didn't know as the vet said. Our boy is just turned 1, literally crying for you. Massive hugs and Brew

SirVixofVixHall · 17/05/2018 20:59

Oh I am so sorry! What a beautiful cat, and so young. How tragic. It is such a shock to lose a cat like this, you must be devastated.

YouCantBeSirius · 17/05/2018 21:01

I'm so sorry OP, he really was a gorgeous boy Flowers

ScreamingValenta · 17/05/2018 21:02

How awful. I'm so sorry, Libby Flowers. You never truly get over a loss like this, but in time you will learn to bear it and will be able to remember the happy times you shared.

eggncress · 17/05/2018 21:02

So sorry OP, I know how you feel. I’ve been there with my old dog. Its a bereavement , very hard but gets better as time goes on. You won’t forget him and he can’t be replaced . Fo now just do anything which makes you feel better ... photos , videos , his toys/blanket etc. Don’t bottle up your feelings ... cry as much as you want at this time .
Take comfort from knowing it was quick for him.
One day you might want to open your heart to a new little cat.

Love and hugs! He is beautiful.

Tiredmum100 · 17/05/2018 21:05

Oh how awful, so sorry. I lost my boy two years ago in the same way. He was only 5. The only comfort I get now is that he had a lovely life whilst he was here, loved, warm bed, regular food and it appeared he died instantly so wouldn't have been aware. You'll never forget him xx

Beaverhausen · 17/05/2018 21:05

So sorry OP, travel safe little man. Xx Flowers
