Is my kitten fat

She is 4 months and one week and I'm worried she is overweight. She has two meals a day and treats. She has 1 pouch of felix a day mixed with Purina Pro plan. Treats wise she has a few dreamies at bed time She is very active. But she is growing fast. She has loose skin on her belly. I've never had a cat and sure if she is normal. I don't want her to be unhealthy.

We need pictures with her stood up from both the side and above to correctly assess weight.

What does the vet say? Has she been out? When is she due neutering?

How much does she weigh?

She looks absolutely fine, the loose skin is normal, but Felix is basically cat McDonald’s so if you’re concerned to feed her properly look for foods actually made of meat not just derivatives.

The last time she was weighed she was 1.6lbs and This was at three months. The vet was happy with her progress. 0.8lbs at two months. She is an indoor cat but she plays a lot we have racked up 2 hours of play already today. I'm going to change her wet food this week, we changed her dry to the one they stock at the vets and was worried about changing too much at once.

She looks lovely. My comments were because we rescued a cat who had her first kittens aged 6 months.

Looks an awful lot like a mini version of my Girlcat, who despite being 4.8 kg at her weigh in last month the vet said was in excellent condition.

At four months she should still be eating as much as she wants, on demand. I would do more than two meals a day. A kitten that is still growing can't really be overweight - it's something to assess around the one year mark when growth stops/slows down.

Has she been spayed yet? Now is the perfect time if not, before her first season.

it's rare that she empties her bowl before her next meal time. We used to feed her three times a day but reduced it to two to account for treats because she gets some before we go to sleep. If her bowl is empty I add more dry in and that's why I was worried about her weight.

The vet wanted to wait until she was 6 months for spaying.

It's advised to do it at 4 months. I went to a different vet to get my boys done at 4 months as mine said 6 months too
