Clearly posting on mumsnet was all she needed for her to get a move on! 2 kittens born so far, she's doing so well at cleaning them and dealing with their cords.

Told you she'd be fine Grin

Congrats to you both. She looks like a perfect mum so far Flowers

Want2beme · 28/02/2018 23:41

Aww, they're so tiny. How's mum doing now. Bet she's shattered. How all goes well Flowers

pieceofpurplesky · 28/02/2018 23:47

Aw more pics needed

CatchingBabies · 01/03/2018 00:42

She's doing well so far, feeding and cleaning them well. She clearly hasn't read the cat rule book about her wanting somewhere dark and private as after her giving birth in my daughters room she moved them all downstairs to the living room and now that I've gone to bed she's in the process of moving them into my room. The problem is she's squeezing them into a space too small for her to lie down and feed them in. Not interveening just yet as she will most likely move them back anyway. She clearly needs a sling to carry them to wherever she is!

Anyway as demanded more photos :)

She is gorgeous!

ladybird69 · 01/03/2018 00:54

Omg are they Raggies? I love raggies.
Well done to Mum Brew it’s mug of milk for Mum really. I’ve promised myself a Ragdoll baby for my 50th birthday can’t wait they’re such sweet characters x

chickhonhoneybabe · 01/03/2018 00:54

Aw very cute! Is mummy cat a rag doll?

CatchingBabies · 01/03/2018 01:00

Yes she's a Ragdoll, blue mitted to be exact. The babies will be mostly blue, hopefully a chocolate and a mix of mitted and colourpoint. Can't wait to see their colours develop.

Congratulations to you and Mum. Is Mum doing ok? Keep the heating on low for them over the next day or two of cold!

CatchingBabies · 01/03/2018 11:30

She's doing great! Had very little sleep as she only feeds them if I sit with her, she wants to be with me all the time and if they cry she comes and cries on me until I take her to the kittens and sit stroking her while she feeds them. She's needing a lot of reassurance but otherwise doing what she needs to. The heating is on and kittens have a heat pad in half of their bed so can move towards or away from it as needed. It's bitterly cold outside!

Oh look at their little tails. Well done mummy cat. Your babies are amazing.
I think I've got something in my eye.

happymummy12345 · 01/03/2018 23:46

Aww how adorable are they? Gorgeous mum too.
(I have a soft spot for Ragdolls. My cat is half Ragdoll. His cat mummy was my stepdad's mums cat, he was her last ever kitten. 3 other people were meant to collect him but didn't, so I finally got a kitten after years of waiting patiently. I love him to pieces).
Hope all goes well.

ScreamingValenta · 01/03/2018 23:52

What a beautiful little family!

CatchingBabies · 02/03/2018 21:47

Kitten family has taken a turn for the worse today sadly. We've lost one kitten and one I suspect is not going to make it either. We are hand feeding but mummy has rejected it and it's very weak, poor little mite. Other 3 kittens doing well. Mummy has been checked over by the vet to see if there is any reason we lost the little one and all seems well, plenty of milk and mum is ok. Vet feels sadly that it's one of those things that can't be helped as it's a big litter.

Oh no Sad

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 02/03/2018 21:56

Oh no. I'm so sorry. FlowersPraying the other little guy makes it.
Mummy animals often do reject their babies when theyre ill.

CatchingBabies · 03/03/2018 06:28

The one we are hand feeding is doing better thankfully! Not out of the woods yet but much improved and mummy has accepted the kitten back so that's great news as he stands a much better chance with her. He's not feeding alone yet but he's staying nice and warm with mummy and sisters at least and we are keeping him fed while he gets stronger. Mummy is doing an amazing job and is very attentive to them all, hopefully this little guy will
start to suckle himself soon and keep getting stronger.

Delighted to hear things are improving.
Bless them.

IHaveBrilloHair · 03/03/2018 11:33

Oh they are beeyootiful.
Keep us updated, hope the remaining ones stay strong also can I have one

CatchingBabies · 03/03/2018 14:42

We've had a breakthrough today and poorly kitten has managed to latch on and feed for 8 whole minutes! Hoping he keeps going from strength to strength and that he's over the worst now. Mummy cat had an impromptu house move this morning when she decided the kittens would like to be moved to my daughters wardrobe. We've moved her nest and let her have them where she wants, DD is clearly overjoyed that they are in her bedroom. She's a teen so can be trusted around them also. Lots of cuddles and treats for mummy today for doing so well, she's particularly enjoying drinking the left over kitten formula.

The kittens have had new mummies and daddies lined up since before they were born so they all have homes to go to when they are ready and we are hoping to have a show standard one to keep back but will a long while until we can assess that.

They are 3 days old today, can't believe it's gone so fast!
