We picked up our new kitten yesterday. She is lively, eating well and drinking water but her poo seems very loose. Should I be concerned?

I'm sorry about your last cat.

I still.miss mine all these yrs later. can't help but love them . can you.

it was love before we even met with ours Grin

I know exactly how much of your hearts she's stolen already.

sure she will be fine.

Dogmatix34 · 05/06/2016 22:27

Thanks Giles, my DH thinks I'm crazy because she's such a lively little thing with a huge appetite. I'll feel happier when she's been checked over though.

It's never crazy to worry with babies.they can go from running around like mad things to crashing pretty quickly. what seems.like a small amount if diorrhea cab soon dehydrate them. and given people are liars and they presumably have no idea who the dad is and whether he is indeed "clean" truth is there's no way of telling what kittens have been exposed to and what level of protection they have against things.

hell even fleas can kill believe it or now.

given you have to vaccinate anyway makes no difference if you call up tomorrow and do it. will put your mind at rest and allow you to enjoy your precious new addition

Dogmatix34 · 05/06/2016 23:00

I will do, thanks again.

I agree with Giles, as soon as we came home with our kitten I had her vet checked.

It didn't cost much, about £18 for a quick once over. Admittedly they didn't do bloods etc. Probably because I had her medical records from the breeder.

That said, my last cat lived until she was 22? Only once went to the vet with a severe flea allergy. An overnight stay and no treatment advice put me right off that vet.

We have a male kitten he had diarrhoea since Thursday and we want to know what do we give him to stop it

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/10/2020 19:39

He needs a vet. Kittens go downhill quickly.

Ibizafun · 08/10/2020 23:00

Dogmatix34 do mind me asking, did you lose your previous cat to FIP? As we are currently treating our kitten who has it.

Aliesha · 08/10/2020 23:01

He is very playful and he doesn't have it constantly it happens. Every 5 hours

MrsCatE · 09/10/2020 06:44

I see lots of good plus sanctimonious advice but most importantly, where are the ivtitrr

MrsCatE · 09/10/2020 06:46

"pictures"!

Apologies, posted too quick because phone keyboard went bonkers.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2020 06:50

@Aliesha he shouldn’t have it all. He needs a vet.

MrsCatE · 09/10/2020 07:06

Bugger and apologies. Posted on wrong thread.

For what it's worth, I think you need to get her checked out ASAP.

Other people here may know about ethics of people who advertise kittens for sale but cannot be good.
