Anyone had any problems with the sureflap catplaps?

Fitted one at great expense (!!) and cat is slowly getting used to using it if l hold it open and push him through but if I do the same from the outside it doesn't open

Cat definitely has his microchip in still as I got the vet to check.

Any ideas?

Couple of years, tried everything, cleaning, changed batteries but it keeps draining batteries in a matter of hours.

I'll try customer service next week

CS are fab Adele.Can't praise them enough.
We had our old one for 2 years, but a neighbour's cat found if he pushed on one corner of the flap, the other corner moved enough for him to hook his claw and pull the flap towards him so letting him in to spray everywhere as he could smell our cat
CS said as the guarantee was for 3 years they would send us a new one, not only that but sent us a Dualscan one, an upgrade on the old one.The new one is locked both ways at all times so the other cat couldn't get in.That solved a big problem, but now he won't use it to go out.Pain in the neck, but at least It works.

Thanks for comments, it's all sorted now. Cleaning and resetting has worked.😺
