After my lovely old girl passed on we decided to get a rescue cat. He's arrived home today from the centre and is currently checking out everywhere.

Blimey he's big!!

Good sign!

Totally not place marking for photo evidence of gorgeous kit cat

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 25/08/2015 14:27

Here 's the beast! He has been needing a home for quite a while and has been totally over looked.

He's a beautiful cat! Good that he's already grooming himself. He seems at ease. Congrats on your new family member!

MrsHathaway · 25/08/2015 15:10

Too beautiful! Ours arrive today too.

Here's to a long and settled life [catnip]

Grauniad · 25/08/2015 15:11

That's a cat who's planning his World Takeover bid.

Be very, very nice to him...

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 25/08/2015 15:19

Grauniad I have a feeling you are right!

The kids are getting him to play with a cat toy now. Which he is interested in between sniffing everywhere

Gorgeous kitty!

Pipbin · 25/08/2015 15:27

What a handsome boy!

timtam23 · 25/08/2015 15:35

What a beauty! I can't believe he was overlooked in rescue! Was he shy when you first met him?

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 25/08/2015 15:43

Apparently he was very upset about leaving his last home and took a while to settle in. His writeup said he took a while to know but was then very affectionate.
But he was right there at us when we went to visit the centre and totally wanted strokes from all the family. Seemed a done deal right then Grin

Wow Ship he's is gorgeous. I am so pleased you were chosen too! He looks totally at home. What's his name?

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 25/08/2015 15:48

Wolfy.

Which we have decided to keep as it reminds me of the Tooting Popular Front

Northumberlandlass · 25/08/2015 15:49

Fantastic name, he's a beauty Smile

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 25/08/2015 16:13

Thanks everyone! We are in cat heaven here!

He has now purred a bit and attempted to play the piano.

Northumberlandlass, how's Lou Lou settling??

I wondered if you might be today's other rehome, Shipwrecked, as our small rescue is homing to five homes in two days (!) with its being the end of the school holidays.

So I asked her what other cat she'd homed today and although the story sounded similar there's a crucial difference - number of legs Grin

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 25/08/2015 17:05

Could be if you are in sussex!
