Fancy pants litter trays.

I have to take my cat to stay in a flat for a month. I have been looking at the litter trays with doors that have various systems to get rid of the waste straight away. Eg a rolling system or a sifting system. Can anyone recommend one if these? I am trying to eliminate the odours!!!

If money were no object, I would get one of these. Fancy pants indeed!

The box is in my living room, so really didn't want an ugly littertray in there (and let's face it,they are aren't they).

Wow, that looks amazing but over £100 for a litter tray... makes me wonder if I could make something like it myself. I love the hole in the top, does it really not tip over when a great big fat moggy jumps on it and perhaps slightly misjudges and wobbles about a bit? Are the liners just big sturdy waterproof bags?

It's amazing and imo really well made. It's very smooth, so cleans/wipes beautifully and doesn't retain any odour at all.

No wobbles of any kind (honest) and beautifullymixed blackandwhite cat is solid muscle. She doesn't even jolt it as she dives in and out.

The main reason I love it dearly is the reduced mess. Along with natures gold cat litter there is no litter on my floor/sofa/bed. As they jump out it all falls back. I struggled with the litter mess and cat fur when getting two cats-was the reason I said pets-never! But with this box,said cat litter and the furminator, all is well in the beautifullymixed household

Oh and I took the liner out after a year, beautifullymixed tortie daft cat used to twang it like a banjo and piddle down the side. Totally defeating the purpose.

Also it didn't match my living room

I knew I should have got one of those! Instead I got a mid - range 40-ish quid one. Which is OK, but not a swanky Modcat...

That looks great, but I think my cat would murder it for moving on its own. Are they quite indestructible (by a no stronger than usual but very, very determined cat?)

Any litter box with a cover/flap should contain odours.
Catit do good ones and look pretty stylish.

Also,a good litter ,nice and deep. Cleaned regularly should keep odours down.

I recommend cats best oko plus, cats best natures gold or any wood pellets.

All you smell is a woody, fresh smell.

The number one thing to stop odours is to give good food -because what goes in must come out
And the difference is incredible when you get it right.

My litter box is in my living room and I smell nothing. Even first thing in the morning.

Haha beautifullymixed, it had to be a tortie that would piddle down the side.

I was coming on here to say how our tortie had a litter tray with a cover and cat-flap door on it - she would walk through the flap into the enclosed tray 75%, leaving the remaining 25% of her body (ie. her arse end) hanging out and then piddle or poo on the floor!

Definitely a naughty tortie. She has been in some scrapes I tell ya and cost me pounds more than the other girl.

I adore her confused look and dozy ways and always forgive her.

I feed grain free wet food (animonda, grau,catz fine food, bozita and butchers classic) in rotation.

Also a little grain free dried (applaws at the moment). This is only for afternoon snacks or late night munchies.

But it has been the change to commercial raw that totally altered the litter tray. I use natural instinct or nutriment which I order online. It's minced raw meat,offal and bone frozen in tubs. All easy with no mess. Just defrost bits and serve as normal food.
I couldn't believe it when I realised I was sitting in the living room with poo in the litter box AND I COULDN'T SMELL IT!

The change in the cats was fabulous too and they are thriving.
They are not that keen on raw chunks of meat but I will persevere,I also have chicken wings in the freezer to try.

The smell when they both came to me on whiskas was horrendous. I even wondered if I could keep them (got them three months apart). Could smell it all around the flat. Even as I opened the front door. Now nothing. Tis wonderful.

Torties are just bonkers though aren't they? Strange quirks, slightly dim but so entertaining. Real characters.

When I went to choose a kitten ,I had a choice of a tabby girl,a ginger girl and her.
I took one look at that face and she was mine.
Utterly adorable.
She divides her time between me and dd2 who's 18.
Ds prefers the other cat and I think she knows this- so she strolls past him with her nose in the air,totally ignoring him while he mutters to himself. It's hilarious.

We have a Modkat and I hate it. The cat pulled the liner away from the velcro and weed down the side, so that got binned fairly early on. It is large and cumbersome and a pain in the arse to empty. Or cats still manage to get litter on the floor (no matter what sort of litter it is). We keep in the bathroom - the sitting room is no place for anyone's shit (particularly with the smells they produce!).

We have a tortie - she is grey and pink and a large and gormless tabby boy.

Do agree about the liner,but I only realised I never liked it after paying £17 for an extra one.

It's sturdy ,not flimsy and I use clumping litter so only struggle to the bath with it once a month. But that sturdiness means big cats don't topple it over. Really easy to scoop too.

Just look at the sleek lines,the designer looks.
I want one in white now.

Ps Bathroom and toilet really tiny,no room for litter tray of any size.
Nowhere else to put it and believe me I've tried.
