Fab cat yes but also should be a wake up call to people who wax lyrical about how trustworthy their dog is. You just never know. I say that as a dog owner. You can't trust humans not to do unexpected things so why hold (dumb) animals to a higher standard.

The dog didn't like kids or scooters. Owner knew. Dog acted predictably really. The owner shouldn't have allowed dog out unrestrained in unenclosed yard.

I doubt that even that dog's owners would have let it roam if they'd known it was prone to random unprovoked attacks on little children. The fact that they voluntarily and immediately surrendered the dog is evidence of that. If they weren't that bothered about it attacking like that they might have been a lot trickier about it being taken away. It could also be however that the dog escaped a back yard by jumping out.
