Our cat's attacked the neighbourhood tom, usually I just ignore fighting as most fights are just gobbing off at each other but he launched himself at the tom, when I screamed at them to stop (bet the neighbours love me) they both stopped, looked at me and hissed at me!.
I had to throw water over them to get them to stop and even then they carried on for a bit until I was able to grab ours by the scruff, By then he had noticed I was there and was deciding wether to attack me or the tom.
He's being quiet now and I think the pain has kicked in. He has a cut right over the top of his eye and it's bleeding a little bit.
I have a massive scratch off his back legs on my forearm covered in sudocrem and mepore plasters.
It was awful. I have to vent on here because DH will say "you should let them get on with it" but he's a bengal and they will quite literally fight to the death and I dont want him losing an eye or something. Not quite sure what something is but I dont want it happening to PFB (precious first bengal).
We should have had another chinchilla again, our chinchilla males knew when to stop.
So I have one very sorry for himself bengal. A picnic that will now have to go back in the freezer and I have to drive best part of 10 miles with an animal that doesnt do car journeys. Or cat carriers. And a sleeping DH who will say I'm over reacting by taking him to the vets for a cut.
Thank you for reading. I feel like having a little cry now
