I think this might be FABCat's last thread

This morning she was coughing and has also had a sloppy bowel accident outside. She wasn't interested in breakfast even though I didn't come down until after 9 and she wasn't about when DH left at 7. He normally feeds her before he goes. I had to put the plate under her nose to get her to come and ear.

Her back legs are a bit wobbly and I will take her for a jab on Monday to hopefully get some relief. She didn't wee over night so that is postiive but when I was comforting her when she was coughing it really hit me that she is very old and isn't my baby anymore .

She has lasted for DD's birthday but I am not sure she will make her own .

I have just put a towel on the sofa for her to sit on, just in case, but she wasn't impressed and has jumped down on to the floor.

My cat is getting to the end of her life and I am not sure I will ever get over it .

She means the world to me, is the only thing in the world that is 100% mine, and I will miss her so much.

FABCat is now 18!!!

Something not quite right as she weed and pooed on her floor overnight but she has eaten and posed for birthday photos and is now asleep.

We are having cake tonight once DH is home and she will have prawns and roast chicken for her tea .

FABCat seems a bit about things when I say Happy Birthday to her .

She has had normal tea but will be having prawns and roast chicken once MrFab gets home. We will be having cake .

My cat is 18. Flipping heck .

Just had to fish FABCat off the table where the cake was .

She had just enjoyed a plate of prawns .

She has just been playing with her new toy like a kitten .

Also as she has weed overnight 2 days running. Why is she doing it??

She is asleep now after having an energetic play. She has mastered how to plkay while being curled up .

Bladder control not so good now, I guess, JustFabulous.

Good that she's been playing though.

It isn't all the time and only at night which makes me wonder really.

We think someone got in our garden last night so maybe she was scared .

I am livid at DS1 as he is forever leaving the gate open. And he left the fucking ladders there. Actually, I will stop posting here as I am so angry and now DD and DS2 are lying over something else so now I have to stay in with them while DH goes out.

I just hate them lying. We have told them to just tell the truth and then it is over with but when they lie it just makes things a lot worse.

Yes - lying is hateful. But you being tense at the moment because of FABCat and them acting up is a bad combination. Going for a long walk might be a good idea as soon as you are free to do so.

I am going out very soon. Shopping then a night alone in a hotel to get some rest.

I don't know how to post photos on my laptop but will try and find out.

FABCat is still with us. . Having a bit of trouble jumping up on to the sofa at times. . DH just had to help as she hung off with her claw dug into my foot. I am in a lot of pain. Unbelievable how something so small can hurt so much but then 12lbs of furball hanging off...

Yesterday I came home to find her out the front, cheeky madam.

Have discovered after 18 years than FABCat likes peas .

She seems to have got a second wind!

Oopscat can't jump onto the sofa any more, he does a sort of hop up on his back legs then looks confused and slithers off again, or dangles by his front claws looking petrified about the 3-inch drop to the floor. If we up his Metacam, he can just about make it, but it's a juggling act between keeping the dose high enough to help and low enough to not cause side effects.

He is currently tucking into pilchards as I haven't been shopping for cat food today. He thinks it's Christmas.
