Anyone else got a Christmas tree that is only decorated from the waist up due to playful kitten taking it all off? Grin

I feel rather sorry for our top heavy tree.

Kitten can't believe its luck at having such a huge toy to play with!!

god i'm wicked, mine gets sprayed with the water spray every time it attempts to go near it Wink, she's leaning quick

ahh the joys of kittens Xmas Grin

We wussed out and didn't have a tree when ours was a young kitten as he was crazy without a load of bright sparkly toys.

He's all grown up now and left it completely alone.

My cats aren't even kittens anymore and they are still trashing the tree! They even climb up inside it, and sit quietly for a while, and then suddenly paws shoot out and pat the nearest baubles like they are playing the bongos.

DH still chases them out of the tree, but I confess I have given up trying now and am used to our 're-designed by the cats' tree Grin

Cat2 likes to sit in our tree, cat1 ignores it, and cat3 steals stuff.

Even as an old boy, my first cat still liked to strip the tree. One year he took the chocolate decorations off and hid them all in the gas meter cupboard

Do you mean like this...

Could be worse, back when our 2 cats were cute little fur-balls coincided with the first year I was going to have DS/ BIL and 2 x DN?s for Christmas dinner. Was very anxious as first time to cook a Christmas dinner and (as lovely as BIL is he was very funny about not been at his home for Christmas day)
Anyway a good friend who is a bit of a Christmas nutter decided that I HAD to have her ?snowing? Christmas tree.

Picture this, an artificial tree that sat in a huge box of polystyrene balls that were sucked up the stem of the tree and spat out the top. A bit like this http://img.en.china.cn/0/0,0,485,2831,360,360,eeff2ea3.jpg
And 2 recently litter trained kittens who were still getting treats for using the tray.

There was poo everywhere????..

Ours liked to steal the decorations. Then randomly throughout the rest of the year occassional baubles would appear in the middle of the living room. Have no idea where they hid them.
We gave up and took it down after a week. (They also climbed it and knocked it over Confused)

This year they haven't even looked at it. Kind of makes me want a kitten again!!
