sleeping bags for boys

My 11 yr old is a very enthusiatic Scout and goes camping with his group every month. He needs a new sleeping bag but I don't have a clue what to get. Can anyone recomemend a decent one that won't cost the earth but will keep him cosy?

we tend to use 3 season vango bags for camping (april to oct)and caravanning (year round). ds took his on scout camp recently (March!!) and was fine. they can be got quite reasonably, £30-40 ish? getting you a link in a mo.

Why would a boy's sleeping bag be any different from a girl's?! Ask in Millets or Blacks for advice.

Agree that it makes no difference whether the sleeping bag is for a boy or for a girl!

Thanks everyone for replying. The title is refering to him being a child rather than his gender- not meaning it would be different for a boy to a girl, apologies if I have offended anyone.

Love the idea of a liner Maryz! i'd no idea you could get such things. Will be checking out all the links in the morning

liners come in many different fabrics - cotton, silky stuff, fleece, all sorts. It means you don't have to wash the bag as much and creates a nice warm layer too. definitely agree, worth getting.
