Dog ate Pringles

3/4 of the contents of a tube of Texas bbq to be precise. Think it’s in protest to not being walked. Emergency vet now or watch and wait so we think? She’s a small springer.

She'll be fine.

MischiefManager · 11/07/2025 21:07

Thanks, she’s definitely contributing to my grey hairs this dog 🙄

My parents dog had to go to the emergency vets and have meds to make her sick after eating a quantity (exact amount unknown) of Pringles but they were the sour cream and chive ones that have garlic and onion powder in them

21ZIGGY · 11/07/2025 21:08

Id be fuming at the loss of pringles 🤣 but dog will be fine, maybe squitty

ninjahamster · 11/07/2025 21:08

I’m sure she will be fine. Maybe a bit of a dodgy tummy but if she’s anything like my dog (lab) then she will be fine!

suggestionsplease1 · 11/07/2025 21:09

Make sure she access to plenty of water but sure she'll be fine.

Jennyathemall · 11/07/2025 21:10

Now I want Pringles.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 11/07/2025 21:11

Best day of her life.

BotterMon · 11/07/2025 21:11

The joys of Springers! Mine doesn't like Pringles or any kind of crisps, but he'll eat a shoe. Yours will be fine as long as plenty of water.

MischiefManager · 11/07/2025 21:15

Thanks everyone. Plenty of water and wait for the squits to kick in it is. I’ll dock her treat allowance to replace the pringles. The joys of spingers indeed 😂

My dog ate 1kg of chocolate at 5m old. It was terrifying he was so sick and we had to do emergency vets but thankfully he was fine.
I’d check ingredients make sure there’s nothing bad for him and keep an eye on him

Bufftailed · 11/07/2025 21:16

Just crisps. Why are you worried??

@MischiefManager what where the ingredients?? Did they have garlic and onion in them?

MischiefManager · 11/07/2025 21:19

@Bufftailed Salt content and onion powder were my main concerns. Instincts were to watch and wait but I tend to doubt my instincts these days 😂

She'll be fine. My spaniel ate half a Happy Meal tonight 🤣

MischiefManager · 11/07/2025 21:20

@OnTheBoardwalk onion powder is listed in the ingredients

OP posts:
whynotmereally · 11/07/2025 21:24

My dog has snaffled things with onion in the odd times I’d keep an eye sickness/lethargy would be concerning

MischiefManager · 11/07/2025 21:24

@U53rn8m3ch8ng3 haha, one of my previous spaniels ate an entire block of butter once. Cleaning that out of the gaps in the floorboards was not a pleasant job.

EyeLevelStick · 11/07/2025 21:27

I’m clearly in danger of turning this into the Four Yorkshiremen Sketch, but when I was a teenager our deranged springer ate a bar of Palmolive soap snaffled from my grandma’s sink. He was fine.

Oh that reminded me @MischiefManager I caught a previous cavalier of mine on the table licking the butter dish 🤮 she also ate a pork pie she found on a walk , dropped on a pavement, we could never ever walk that stretch of pavement again without her frantically searching for another pork pie 🤣

OnTheBoardwalk · 11/07/2025 21:32

@MischiefManager can you ring the OoH vet and check the ingredients with them?

foreverand · 11/07/2025 21:36

Does she get to eat human food often? I think she’s more likely to get an upset tummy if she’s never had anything like it before, dogs that regularly get a crisp or bite of everything will have more of a tolerance.

I know nothing about dogs but this made me snort laugh.

Theredjellybean · 11/07/2025 21:41

Today my three have eaten ,:
My very expensive Roche suncream..factor 50..25£ for small bottle

The contents of a bathroom bin

Licked wet paint

Some used cling film

Some spilled persil washing powder.

All very normal...two spaniels and a koojehunde.
Currently all three peacefully sleeping on sofa

defrazzled · 11/07/2025 21:43
