New puppy!

She is utterly adorable. (Golden Retriever)

9 weeks old (breeder won’t home till 9 weeks), hasn’t had one accident in the house (yet!!) and has taken herself off for naps into her crate.

after my last pup (Labrador) who screamed the house down for the first day and seemed to believe the crate was some type of puppy torture device I’m totally bewildered!

She’s gorgeous! Our golden cross was a stealth stair poo-er. We realised he did it because he liked to watch his wee run down the stairs like a waterfall (and his poop roll down like a boulder in Indiana Jones).

For nearly a year (although by then infrequently) the loudest noise echoing across the house was me yelling, “Ted! Not the stairs, not the stairs!”.

We didn’t use stair gates (our office is upstairs) but we installed doorbells for him to press to go out which worked well for poops, but as he’s water obsessed the vet thought the weeing was another form of water play!

Even at nearly 4 he’s still obsessed with anything wet; he currently in his 6ft dog pool playing with his rubber flamingo ducks, every puddle is a paddling pool, he’s in & out of rivers, and our pond has a fence around it as he nose dived into it too many times, having to be rescued whilst newts clung to his fur.

Of course, he’s cream coloured, but hey! At least he loves bath time lol!

I'm nearly two and half years in and the big adorable hurrumphing lump is currently sat on my lap likes he's still an 8 week old pup and I often tell him how he's the thing that is the most unconditionally loveable and endlessly infuriating in my life. They teach you SO MUCH about yourself, relationships, forgiveness and communication. Your girl is gorgeous 🥰
