Can anybody tell me the breed of this dog?

Any guesses?

I'm going with a golden retriever X (but the cross could be quite a few contenders).

Yellow flat coat retriever? They exist even with purebreds parents because labs and goldies were crossed in to keep the breed healthy when stocks were low.

i can see why people think saluki but it’d be a quarter or less, I’m not seeing much saluki except the ears and you’d see it more in the muzzle and conformation if it were 1/2.

im going with spaniel/ retriever/Labrador cross.

I’d say it’s a cocker spaniel crossed with another breed. About how tall is it? Labrador size? Shorter? Taller? It’s difficult to gauge size from a picture if there’s nothing to compare it with.

Sometimes a cocker spaniel x poodle look more like the spaniel than than the poodle coat (Cockapoo).

I think it's a cross breed although I did a Google image search and it suggested a breed called a Hovawart...

This one looks more like yours although I'd say yours has a more Spaniel type face so my money is still on cross-breed.

There’s got to be golden retriever in the mix! The face looks labradory but the ears and coat definitely aren’t, they’re more spaniely, but it also looks to be a big dog. I wish you could find out now, I want to know!

@wheresmymojo Hovawarts are quite solid with a squarer head and much denser coat. Gorgeous dogs.

GR X cocker would be my first guess. A springer X would be more likely to turn out black due to the colour genetics.

Or, possibly (outside odds, and assuming the dog is small-medium), a GR crossed with a flattie that carries yellow.

American GR look like this, the ears come definitely from a spaniel down the line.
