We are getting our dogs ashes back today and just wondering what we can do with them.
What did you do with your dear pets ashes?
Thanks!

I kept the ashes for a while, couldn't even bear to look at them but when the time was right I took them on his favourite walk and scattered them along the route.
It was a perfect morning with forget me nots out all through the woods and I heard a cuckoo and was reminded how he used to tip his head from side to side listening when we had heard one before

I have had a piece of jewellery made with some of our ddogs ashes, the rest will be scattered around a favourite place to walk and in a certain place in the garden.

We've got the ashes back it was an hard day when we got them. At the minute is sat in top of my wardrobe in the bedroom. None of us can face opening them just yet.
We've decided to have a plaque made in his memory and hang it on the fence in the garden where he used to lay.
We're thinking of scattering the ashes just behind the fence on a field he used to be walked on.
Thanks again for your comments and agin sorry for your losses

I have never collectedly my dogs ashes from the vets. I know it would fill me with such sadness. I have my lovely memories of them and they live on in my heart.

@Offintothesunset that made me well up. How lovely!

@dazzlerdo sounds like a lovely plan.
