Best way to stop dog walkers letting their dogs poo all over my front lawn?

Our grass is only 5ft deep and theirs no front fence so what do we need to do to stop them?.

It needs to be attractive & not block light as the house is slightly lower than the pavement.

Some dog owners give the rest of us a bad name! When I walk the dog up our street, I don’t let her go on people’s front lawns, even when there is no fence or other boundary marker - it really isn’t difficult to work out what is someone’s garden/part of their property, and what is road.

Mind you, when I was tiny, my mum once caught someone lifting their dog over our front wall, to do its business on our garden. My mum has a sharp tongue, and didn’t hesitate to use it. The woman never did that again - not with our garden, anyhow.

It really doesn’t when your outside. It’s a standard semi with a garage.

There’s no mistaking the front garden is someone’s property. Unless their a bit dense & if so would perhaps lack capacity to walk a dog safely?.

My DF tells a story of when he and DM got their first house. There was someone letting their dog crap on the front lawn, every day.

He stuck a sign next to the poo, with 'the phantom shitter strikes again!' written on it in an attempt to shame them.

Sadly it didn't work, so he worked out roughly what time of day it was happening and laid in wait behind the curtain. He spotted one of their middle aged, posh, neighbours encouraging their dog to go into the garden. He flung the window open and shouted at her to 'have one yourself while you're there!' then told her if it happened again he'd come and shit on her lawn himself.
