Sammy

I have a liver and white springer who is a great Sammy. But the original was a black and white long haired Jack Russell.

I know a black cocker with a white paw called Dipper, because it looks like he dipped his paw in a tin of paint.

Do you want a person-y name, or a silly name? Or other theme (nature for instance)?

How about a mumsnet name? Boffy? Hully? F*cker?

If he's got a nice white nose flash how about Comet?

Can we see a picture of the cute puppy now please? :)

Call it something funny like Trevor, Kenny, Dennis or Kevin.

Apologies to those people with the above mentioned names.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I liked Lego but my dh said no. I like Bovril too. Stanley is on my list as is Barney.

It seems much harder than naming my kids!

Stupidly I missed out reading 2 pages of names. Some are on my very long shortlist that none of my fussy family are enthusiastic about.

I like patches as we thought of patch but its one syllable. New ones I like are puffin, puzzles, dipper and ludo. Though I'm worried its sounds like the royal one. We didn't realise they had one until we were googling dogs.

I already like stanley, treacle, Leon, RipleyRipley.

I can't decide between as human name or a cute non human one. I am useless and if I was reading someone else write all this I would be scathing about their dithering.

I couldn't get as good pic as we spent so long choosing the co!our (there were 5 different types and I wanted them all) that we didn't get an individual shot.

I quite like orange or pumpkin as they are so wrong.
