Apart from the obvious 'oiGetAwayFromThatYouFucker!' Name.
Mine are Layla, Dexter, (recently departed :( ) Trassey
And the puppy we're rehoming from the pound this weekend will be Lacey

TooManyButtons · 12/10/2013 23:45

I have Stanley the spaniel; when he's older I want a female puppy called Mavis.

EmpressOfThe7WillowsandTaras · 12/10/2013 23:49

Our Yorkipoos are Lady Magdalena Beatrice Muffin and Emperor Milonicus Maximus Doomsbar, aka Maggi and Milo (because I'm not shouting that lot across a field, regardless of how much DD likes it).

Three different people have called Milo Hairy Maclary this week though so his name might end up getting even longer.

drowninginlaundry · 12/10/2013 23:54

I love Bob!
We have two labs, Donut and Peanut. Peanut may have puppies sometime in the near future, we'd like to keep one but don't know what to call it... Love doggy names, love Marvin and Ethel too

Lonecatwithkitten · 13/10/2013 10:43

He is Fetlar which is be of the Shetland Islands. Shetland has loads of fab names for dogs others on my list are Bressa, Bussa, Nosa, Hildsay, Trondra to name a few.

topbannana · 14/10/2013 01:06

Jake (DH wanted a bird theme and he was supposed to be Jay but....Hmm)
Ghillie, a Scottish gamekeeper so suits a working dog
BlackDog (RIP) was Flick, not too sure why but the pretty German girls name I had chosen was just wrong somehow :o
I would like Woody or Ned for a dog (nearly went for Ned but we use "bed" as a constant command) or Flute for a girl- maybe one day :)

We have a golden lab called Monty (Python). I wanted to call him Marley but was over ruled by family. We did have a Battersea mongrel for 10 years called Barney, that's the name he came with.
We used to have cats
Bubbles
Squeak
Gravy (who was grey and had 6 toes on his paws).

MrJugsMummy · 14/10/2013 08:51

Our English Springer spaniel is called Brian for two reasons my OH and I are massive Monty Python fans and when we first went to see him the breeders said ge always looked like he was thinking which made us think about Brian from Family Guy he also likes a drink!

Future names if we ever got another Springer I'd love to call it Mungo

But I also love "human" names fir digs met a boxer calked Dave the other day! :-)

HicDraconis · 15/10/2013 20:17

Our retradoodle is Domino - black with white spots. We're thinking about rehoming another pup who looks like she's a poodle crossbreed of some sort but no clues on a name for her. I liked "Doodle" but apparently it means "willy" here. If we call for her on Dog Beach we'll get some strange looks! So still thinking :)

Our first dog was a Collie cross called Dill (I also had a cat named Parsley, I was a big fan of The Herbs as a child). We lost him at 15, earlier this year Sad. Our little rescue Collie/fox red Lab cross is called Boo. She was Beau at the rescue centre, but all the Beaus I know are men, so I re-named her after the song...Me and You and a dog Named Boo.

Eek, I deleted loads of the rubbish ones, but they showed up anyway, sorry!

Amy106 · 25/10/2013 01:26

Our sweet gentle retriever is called Turbo. It's the name he came with when we adopted him as an adult. He is a senior now and given to long afternoon naps in the sunshine and slow but steady walks in the local park. He may have been a super speedy pup but now his name just makes people smile. He doesn't care. Call him what you like. Just don't call him late for dinner. Smile

Madondogs · 25/10/2013 11:38
