noexcuses · 28/01/2012 14:24

Black lab - Morse. All the puppies were named after detectives & he was 6 months when we got him so we stuck with it. People think we chose it though cos we lived in a police house Grin

Off to name change.

flixy102 · 28/01/2012 18:16

Our scruffy cairn/jack russell cross is called Oscar.

He was Basil all the way home in the car but somehow it just didn't stick.

And he is my wee furry baby!

Littlepumpkinpie · 28/01/2012 18:34

Both dogs are cavaliers and we let the kids pick the name but it had to be something Dh and I were willing to shout aloud when calling the dog. So from the list we choose Ziggy. Some of the names were just a big no way LOL. Our other dog already had her name as she was almost two and shes called Dotty which suits her down to the ground dotty by name potty by nature :)

ReeBee · 28/01/2012 18:37

Two rescue dogs - collie / flat coated retriever cross called Tilly and a lurcher called Jester.

We renamed them both when they were 14 months and 9 months respectively, but tried to keep similar sounds in their names so they didn't get confused.

tanfastic · 28/01/2012 18:43

Lhasa Apso called Dillon, which then became Dilbert and mostly now just Bert. Dillon when he's being naughty though Grin

spiderlight · 28/01/2012 18:47

We have a Springer called Megan and a collie/lurcher pick'n'mix called Archie.

higgle · 29/01/2012 00:03

My Staffie is called Porridge, it was his dogs home name but we kept it because it suits him.

He is also known as Nesty dog, Ridgy, Rooster and Pozza.

Elibean · 29/01/2012 14:02

Ooh, I like Porridge.

Mouse was called 'Risk' at the shelter, but a) impossible to shout across a field and b) didn't suit him, as he wouldn't have taken a risk to save his life Grin

Funny how names do need to suit....
