It is so so not funny. It's like something written by a focus group to appeal to the ladies. I do like Miranda the person tho', there's somethin about her big looming face that's vaguely compelling.

Oh I love it. She is very funny. Even DH laughs along with it.

secunda · 06/07/2010 22:32

I agree. I like her, but it's not funny. It's sort of clunky.

LostArt · 06/07/2010 22:32

[shocked] I know it's a bit of a farce, but I love it.

puffling · 06/07/2010 22:36

If I'm watching IT Crowd, Father Ted, Frasier, I howl with laughter all the way through. I'd like to crack a smile during Miranda but just don't find myself doing so.

piprabbit · 06/07/2010 23:41

I love Miranda the show, and the person.
She reminds me of several people I know.

ThistleWhistle · 06/07/2010 23:45

I love Miranda. It's the only thing that has made me laugh out loud for ages. Loved the bit where she ran down the corridor and the Beauty and the Beast teapot.

misspollysdolly · 06/07/2010 23:55

She is fantastic! I love her! Leave Miranda alone!!

booyhoo · 06/07/2010 23:58

cocolepew · 07/07/2010 10:44

I like it, is it back on?

gorionine · 07/07/2010 10:45

I quite like her in her own thing, used to love her as the cleaning lady in "Not going out".

candyfluff · 07/07/2010 10:51

cocolepew · 07/07/2010 12:36

Found it thanks, it's not on BBC NI , I found it on BBC SE,. Had to record it for the DDs, they love it.

OrmRenewed · 07/07/2010 12:37

I like it. I like her.

booyhoo · 07/07/2010 12:41

oh that's why i didn't see it, i am in NI.

potplant · 07/07/2010 12:45

I like her but think the programme is dreadful.

StableButDeluded · 08/07/2010 23:39

I saw the first episode for the fist time last week & thought it was hilarious. Love the way she mouths things to the camera, she has a real 'comedy' face.

Saw the second episode this week & wasn't quite so keen, found it funny in parts but it is a little 'forced' too. The mother flipping in & out of the shop just to say something 'funny' is getting on my nerves a bit.

secunda · 08/07/2010 23:44

I like Patricia Hodge who plays the mother. She was ace as Mrs T in The Falklands Play

mayorquimby · 09/07/2010 10:17

It's like anti-comedy.
It's everything that is wrong with TV.

merrymonsters · 09/07/2010 14:39

Is there a new series? I looked on iplayer and it was an old one.

I like it. It's really silly.

Gary is way out of her league though.

Tootiredforgodtyping · 09/07/2010 14:43

I think its really funny.

cyb · 09/07/2010 14:44

That gary bloke is RIGHT up my street. Unfortunately he's married to Tamsin Outhwaite

mangoandlime · 09/07/2010 17:57

I like the 80s stylee ending with the credits! Like Hi-De-Hi!

MumInBeds · 09/07/2010 18:02

I love Miranda the series and the person.

She is currently writing the second series according to her twitter.
