Why has 'Miranda' been allowed on the telly?

It is so so not funny. It's like something written by a focus group to appeal to the ladies. I do like Miranda the person tho', there's somethin about her big looming face that's vaguely compelling.

I like it, nice gentle comedy. No ripping the shit out of people for yucks. Have met her a few times and she's lovely in real life too.

GroovyGretel · 09/07/2010 18:24

I love it too - she has a wonderful lack of poise that just makes me laugh.

Mind you, I used to enjoy it on Radio 4 too!

mrstimlovejoy · 09/07/2010 19:09

i love it and think it's really funny

Gigantaur · 09/07/2010 19:12

I am guessing you aren't a 6foot woman the size of a house who often gets confused for a man.

because i am, like miranda and i swear the writers of the show have been following me.

I am Miranda.

Alambil · 09/07/2010 19:51

I love Miranda (the person and the series)! I enjoyed watching her do that bike ride thing too; she's got a very likeable air about her

2shoes · 09/07/2010 19:58

i love it

LostArt · 09/07/2010 20:06

Gigantaur I don't believe you. There is no way that anyone with your, erm, "curves" could be mistaken for a man.

I love, love love Miranda.

ledodgy · 09/07/2010 20:08

Oh I love it I think it's fabulous.

MrsMorgan · 09/07/2010 20:09

You have got to be kidding me. Miranda is absolutly hilarious.

I woke my kids up laughing at it the other night and can't wait for the first series to come out on dvd.

This is like entering a parallel universe. This programme is dreadful

stainesmassif · 09/07/2010 20:33

why? why? why does everyone like it? i couldn't bear it on the radio and it's a thousand times worse on the tv. so signposted and contrived. mind you, i never got the appeal of my family or outnumbered either.

HeywoodJablome · 09/07/2010 20:41

It's dire.

AnyFuleKno · 09/07/2010 20:51

I like it, but I wish it was about more than her trying to cop off with Gary, the dullard.

carrotsandpeasifyouplease · 10/07/2010 10:50

I love it, its not slick or sophisticated but a bit cringy, its very comforting, its like your dad telling you rubbish jokes and she plays it in a way that she knows this.

sharbie · 10/07/2010 12:54

its' supposed to be a parody of that cringy sort of my family show innit??

sue52 · 10/07/2010 15:54

I love it and her.

WarrenPeace · 10/07/2010 15:55

its terrible isnt it

stainesmassif · 10/07/2010 19:06

is it? a parody, i mean. it just seems awful. i obviously don't get it. maybe i'll try again.

no, i don't think i can.

sharbie · 10/07/2010 20:04

i think so - i like it.not the funniest thing ever but good fun to watch.

NomDePlume · 10/07/2010 20:05

heinous and embarrassing.
